There isn’t a bad place to eat in Crosshaven but this is the pick of the bunch. Food is always outstanding(fresh, consistent, tasty, and often with a little twist/side dish to make it interesting), with a new specials board every day. Good strong(genuinely) coffee is complimented with a cake selection straight out of a children’s book, which is also on constant rotation. The pancakes deserve their own twitter feed. The café itself is really relaxing with a great view. Its cozy in the winter, with a large outside area when the sun comes out. Staff are great and the place feels like a focal point in the town. Reviews always seem unbalanced/questionable without some form of criticism, but I can’t be arsed trying to think of some small thing that wasn’t a problem in the first place. Anyone who ever gave it all up to start their own café had this place pictured in their head when they took the plunge. Really looking forward to it opening in the evening this summer

What gloriously sunny day in Costa del Cork, made even more memorable by a visit to the beautiful Crosshaven which looks more like ‘Puerto Banus’ with all the yachts and boats on the bay. If you are lucky enough to visit this town, make sure you drop into the Rivers End Café perched right on the edge of the river as the name suggests. It’s a really lovely cosy café style spot, decoated in a nautical theme, with tables and chairs set outside on a lovely day like this. Food is really good as it’s freshly prepared, but be warned as you ay have to wait a little while for service as they are so busy. They serve breakfast until late morning and a huge selection of delicious homemade cakes pastries and scones which are impossible to resist, not to mention a whole range of sandwiches, wraps and panini — served with a light salad. Lovely friendly staff, eager to help and make you feel welcome and wanted! Would highly recommend this spotlessly clean café in one of the most beautiful settings to be found around Ireland.
