Number 47 Medical Practice

I rang for an appointment. I needed to see the doctor as I have been suffering from flu. The doctor on call told me that I needed to see the gp and get my ears syringed. The receptionist asked me was it urgent? I need to get better so I can go back to work. Told me I need to put drops in for 5 days and they could see me next week. I was stunned. How can a receptionist give medical advice? and over the phone? She was also a bit rude like I was annoying her. Thats her job! and its her job to give me an appointment. In the end I got no appointment until 7 days time. In the meantime I have no cert for work and will probably have to go back unfit. Fed up. I know they are busy, and doctors have a huge workload but we need them. Doctors are great. Receptionists not. I am sorry I bothered her. Took her forever to answer the phone as well. She didnt mention her name. Pity.
