Scotch Hall Shopping Centre – Drogheda

BEWARE PARKING HERE! The shopping centre itself is fine. The multi storey parking garage is, well… another story. Prominent signage touts that it is free of charge after 5pm (good stuff) but you really won’t get fair notice that your car will be locked in after 8pm and that you will be faced with a 45 Euro call out fee to get the doors opened! Talk about rolling up the sidewalks after dark! We were told at a neighbouring business that the call out and accompanying 45 Euro grab is a fairly routine experience for unsuspecting tourists given inadequate warning. Scotch Hall parking is well out of synch with Ireland’s generally friendly welcome for visitors.

I love this place
I don’t know what it is about me and shopping but i luurrvveee to shop. Hence i like shopping centers. Of course on my last visit to scotch hall it was their 5 year birthday and i won some matchbox make up, i was some what disappointed in this as i want the 99inch TV.
Winning makeup aside this is a very nice airy shopping center with a good selection of shops. My wives fav here is next it has a great selection especially in the children wear. For me i love Pull and Bear for T’s, sweats and jenas this is a great shop.
Parking is provided in the center at a charge in a multistorey and there is a good selection of eating places.
My biggest bitch about here are the lifts. Well in fact not the lifts them selves but the wait. To get down from the multistory with a buggy you can only get the lift and it can feel like you are waiting an eternity. There is an travelator but it only goes up. But lifts aside its still a great center.
