Food wise the taste was fine. It’s only a buffet after all. But I nearly died when I used the loo after. It was disgusting. My stomach turned as I imagined how the kitchen must look. I won’t be going back. Doesn’t matter how cheap it is, there’s no excuse for dirty, pissy toilets.

Let me first say that this is the first time iv ever written a bad review. I don’t bother wasting my time doing so and I know how detrimental it can be to a business, but iv had enough. My wife and I toured Dublin and we had herd that food could be expensive in Europe so to cut our costs we decided to plan ahead and but some groupons ahead of time to use at various restaurants and pubs in the city. Most of them require a reservation so we did not call in until we got to ireland because of long distance charges. We bought a groupon for this restaurant because it was cheap and we could get some good food at low costs. When we go to ireland we called to make a reservation and low and behold the guy on the phone tells me that they no longer accept groupons because of an issue they are having with the company. So I hang up. It’s not the first time iv had this issue where I’ll buy a groupon and because the owner can’t do math and figure out a way to factor in groupon costs and still make money and so I now have to sit on the phone with groupon for an hour to get my money back. After I hang up I thought«fine whatever.» I go back to to find another restaurant only to see that not only is the original deal I purchased still available but they have a second deal running! They have two deals running and they accept neither. When I called to ask the man on the phone told me «that’s groupons problem not mine.» Such lies iv never heard. It’s obvious what they are doing: they are just looking to use groupon for free advertising while not actually offering any deals with them. If you don’t want to offer a deal then don’t but don’t use a a website like that and outright lie to your customers.

Ok, so lets face it — Buffets are never going to be great anyway… and Chinese food can more often than not be a bit dodge anyway… But this place… all the Food was cold … like not just lukewarm — but cold. There was very very little choice of what to choose from… They were slow at clearing the plates up when you were done. The seating was comfy and place itself looks nice(deceiving). € 9.00 for all you can eat — great ! except you don’t end up eating much !

Being a man who’ll eat anything and lots of it this place is great. The food is lovely, especially the wantons and deep fried panga fish. I wouldn’t recommend being a regular at this place, as it’s almost all very unhealthy food(minus the salads). Oh, and it’s only € 6.99 for all you can eat, which is superbly priced.

My Ratings: Quantity: 3 — Lots to see and do Quality: 3 — Beautiful place Price: 4 — Affordable Location: 3 — Nice Service: 3 — Good Speed: 3 — Good Overall: Cheap but okay food. My Opinion/Story: Cheap price but quality is cheap too. Not alot to choose from and they don’t often replace empty dishes. But if you’re hungry and need a quick, cheap eats, this is your place. Service is okay and they need to hire more, place is okay with a weird format but clean enough.

Feel free to judge me for eating at a Chinese buffet. Hell, I judge me. Basically, hubs and I had tickets to a late movie at Cineworld in 40 minutes. On a Sunday night, absolutely nothing was open. Not Boojum. Not the Spar sandwich counter. Not even M&S for a take-away dinner. So we ate here. Because it was open. I had only been to a Chinese buffet once in my life. I was 20 years old and I learned my lesson. But we wanted to see the Cohen Brothers’ version of True Grit… and we were hungry! Moral of the story: It wasn’t as horrible as I had imagined. The salad section was sad and I regret eating the random deep-fried options in various shapes. Aside from that, the calamari and vegetable dish with spicy serrano peppers and the lo mein noodles were tasty. I can’t say I’ll be back but if Chinese buffets are your thing, you should probably go here.
