I definitely enjoyed my visit to 3sixty5. Honestly I can’t say a whole lot about the quality of the food because I’ve never had afro-caribbean food before. What I can say is that I enjoyed it. To an ignorant American such as myself the menu was rather confusing but the waitress was kind enough to explain it to me with great patience. The ambience is great with African themed art on the walls and African music blaring. What I can only assume were family and friends were in the next room hanging out. Another Unilocaler stated it best saying it feels like you’re having dinner in someone’s living room. Bottom line is if you’re looking for an ethnic and unique meal in Dublin you should definitely check this place out.

3 stars for the food, but 5 for the service. I’m a total novice to African food; so I was a bit nervous about this meal. As soon as I sat down I was able to relax though. Football on the telly, Nigerian pop blaring away, it’s a bit like eating in someone’s living room. The menu is mainly rice dishes, so I went with the jollaf. It was the only thing I’d heard of before, a mix of rice, tomatoes and chilli. It came with a choice of two meats: chicken or goat. I had to choose the goat, who could resist? That said, I don’t think goat will be making it into my regular diet any time soon. Still glad to give it a go, and the waiter seemed impressed at the effort I went to. Meal and a drink came to a tenner, and as long as you like rice you’re not going to leave hungry!

Went there with 4 friends, we all didn’t really know what we ate, but paid 10 Euros each for tasty and unique ethnic food, shared it all among us and enjoyed some Nigerian beer with it. The service was great, the waitress explained us everything and showed us the different kinds of beer they have etc. the place doesn’t look too nice from the outside but who cares :-) Unique ethnic food experience 5⁄5 stars!

Don’t let the way it looks from the outside scare you away, this is one of the better meals I’ve had in my 6 months in Dublin. Very clean inside, and incredibly friendly staff– they were more than happy to explain the menu to me(I was unfamiliar with almost all of the dishes), and were very pleasant. Great food too– I had plantains which were cooked perfectly, and a vegetable soup that was excellently spicy(not something I find often here in Dublin). Worth checking out!

3 Sixty 5 is something different on the Dublin food scene. This restaurant is worth checking out. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. They made this experience extra special I found with their willingness to explain the menu, share a bit of the restaurant’s story and make sure we ordered what we would be comfortable with. When eating here, go all in. There is a unique style of food here that is unlike anywhere else in Dublin. You can eat with a fork and knife if you want, but traditionally you eat this food with your hands. You’re given a bowl of water to wash your hands as you go. My date and I shares fried plantains(banana chunks deep fried) and bean cakes(spicy in all the right ways) for starters. We both had okra soup for the main dish. *The entrees all say«soup» but its not your average soup to say the least. Its almost a stew you could say with heat. A potato cake comes with the meal to «sop» it all up. Pro Tip: Bring cash. No machine for cards. The relaxed pace is part of the experience. Everything is made to order, so chillax and enjoy!

I like this place. It’s not what you expect, or maybe it is, but whatever you expect, or whatever you don’t, it’s gonna be different. :-) Tucked away down a lane just off Moore St, this is the real deal. If you want to try African food as eaten by the crew themselves, ye get yourself here. We went as a big group, but normally it’s a place that would deal with dishing up individual plates there and then — so be aware that your food may come out sporadically or at different times. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though — it’s a super laid back atmosphere, and we never felt rushed(quite the opposite!) It gave us time to chat and relax which was nice. The staff are so nice too — we had a good laugh with them — always extremely important in my book. Now for the food. I think it’s safe to say it will be something different to anything you’ve tried before.(There are options like cow tongue, tripe, beef skin, goat, etc) The basic system is that you order a main ‘soup’ and a side of something like yam, semolina or rice. The ‘main’ menu doesn’t have any explanations so if you’re not African, you may need to spend some time with the waiter going through the meanings of them. I ended up getting a fish and spinach type curry. It was extremely hot, so be warned. I thought I was fine, til I stopped eating, but still good all the same! They call them all soups, but really they are more like curries. My fish was delicious and seemed like it had been marinading for ages in spices. Pro tip: Order the palm juice to go with your food. It’s delicously cold and sweet and a perfect antidote to the spice. To summise, go with an open mind and you should leave with a full belly.
