What a hidden gem. Loved everything aboout this delightful resteraunt. Service was impeccable and the food was to die for. The set menu starting at twenty five Euro is a steal. But be warned it will induce a food coma!

Located in the most unusual place — a mall! This has to be some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Went with co-workers. We shared main dishes, ordered extra rice, and naan. Everything we ordered totally rocks with stunning flavor. A must try! I coming back!

Food was excellent– probably the best prawns I’ve ever had, and the butter chicken was amazing. The menu is really intriguing, it was a real struggle to settle on a main course. Service was a little slow, particularly the wait between starter and main course seemed a little excessive. Would definitely recommend.

This is normally the part of my review where I’d be all«I can’t believe I didn’t eat here sooner!» However, I can believe it, because I wouldn’t normally make a trip to Dundrum Town Centre for a Saturday evening meal. We had dinner at Ananda at the recommendation of my co-workers. We were both so skeptical and luckily were both so wrong. The feel of the place is fancy without being stuffy and there is a nice lively atmosphere. We decided to share the Kurkura Seekh Kebab, which is a lamb kebab with water chestnut pesto and aubergine fries. It was so unique and the flavours were excellent. For our mains we ordered the Butter Chicken and the Jhinga Neel Giri, which is a curry prawn dish. Both dishes were lovely. The curry sauce with the prawns had a nice coconut taste and great texture. My Butter Chicken was so juicy and the seasonings were fantastic. If you like Tikka Masala this is your sister dish. To accompany our mains we also shared the lemon rice and garlic and coriander naan, which was more than enough food between the two of us. Despite being uncomfortably full, we knew we couldn’t leave without sampling one of their desserts. We shared the Chocolate and Banana which was a chocolate and banana mousse with a peanut crust, caramel ice cream and bruleed bananas. To sum that one up, YUM. You pay a slightly higher premium than most Indian restaurants but Ananda certainly delivers. Looking forward to returning soon! Tip: Use the side entrance so you can pretend you aren’t inside a mall :)

Basic Indian food presented in a flash way. I had lamb biryani, it promised rose, saffron, mint on the menu„ in reality, it was so spicy you couldn’t taste anything, which was a shame, a potentially beautiful dish. All in all, it was just average indian restaurant food ponced up by presenting it in a modern way. It was also, at 25 euros, very expensive. That’s a serious main course price there, and its not delivering like it should.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice so far; on both occasions the food and the ambiance were superb. Now here’s the part when the other shoe drops, for a restaurant on that level, the quality of service was not up to standard.

Indian restaurants are typically great for vegetarians — lots of choice. Not here though. Been here a few times from work, did not enjoy it any of those times. Taste of food is also not great. Avoid if you are a vegetarian — not your typical Indian

Best Indian I’ve ever had. It’s a little pricey but they have a decent early bird

Really liked the food I got here. It’s a little pricier than most Indian restaurants in Dublin but it is definitely worth it. I went here with some business colleagues from India and they themselves were surprised at how accurate the dishes were to their expectations. They of course asked their food to be spicier. The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice. Will definitely go back again.

My third visit to Ananda was just not as good as the two before. I went for an early bird last week and was a little disappointed, mostly with my own main course. The starter of Tilapia fish, red chili paste & lime zest infused fish cakes with cucumber & dill relish was nice enough but wasn’t anything special. It just mostly tasted of chilli and potato. I could barely taste any fish. Still, it was tasty for what it was. I had the Wicklow lamb braised with brown onion & cardamom extract for my mains. It really wasn’t great at all. The lamb was tender but it came in a tomato based sauce that I didn’t care for. It lacked flavour and was quite«thin». I felt the description on the menu was a little misleading as it hadn’t mentioned the sauce at all. My sister had the tikka masala which was very nice, as were the naan breads. I had a small taste of my dad’s prawn jalfrezi and it was as good as I had remembered. The first time I came here I was blown away by the dishes I had. I just didn’t feel the same this time. I wasn’t put off returning as everyone else enjoyed their meal and what I tasted of theirs was really nice. It just seems to me that the quality of the menu isn’t consistent.

After I moved to Dublin from India, I was craving for good Indian food but was a disappointment wherever I went. Finally, Ananda was introduced by one of my friends here and since then I am rhapsodising about it. The ambience of the place is very impressive with green and pink décor and just right lighting. The food is very delicious to gorge on and if you are not a huge fan of spices, you can enjoy here without burning your tongue. The dinner is bit pricey but the lunch over the weekend is good value for money. The only downside of the lunch part is small menu as compared to the dinner one, but still you can pick up good dishes out of the listed items. My personal recommendations are Malai kebab, chat minar, brocolli kebab, bhindi and dal. Thali(Vegetarian and meat based) is the best way to try different dishes in small portions, it’s really a big worth! Cheers!

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the world and unquestionably the best restaurant in Dundrum town centre — that’s if you like Indian food of course! The ambiance of the place is really cool and modern. The menu is extensive and the staff are lovely. The poppadoms and dips you get when you first sit down is a nice touch! I usually go with the taster to start and tandoori Chicken with tikka masala sauce. It is however the highest quality Indian food I’ve had. You get a free range Irish chicken breast cooked to perfection and an indescribable masala sauce. You also get Pulao rice! I’ve only had frozen yogurt for desert which was surprisingly good for an Indian restaurant! I would definitely recommend! There is also an entrance from the shopping centre!

This wasn’t picked by me for a family gathering — one of those grudging moments where I went along even though I’ve said I don’t like indian food to these people for as long as I’ve been able to voice an opinion on food. The restaurant itself is pleasant and roomy, even though it took me ages to find it(bloody Dundrum!!) and despite being assured there would be non-indian options for me(by my family, not the restaurant I hasten to add) there just wasn’t on their lunch menu. While I didn’t feel catered for, the staff did do something quite stellar. My 4 yr old nephew is even more indian food averse than me, and adamantly proclaimed he would only have chips or nothing else. There was no chips on the menu. We ascertained with the waiter that there was definitely no chips, we were left with a possible sulk on our hands(he sulks way worse than me!) The waiting staff obviously consulted with the kitchen staff because when the food came out, it was accompanied with a plate of chips stacked jenga style. I’ll never be a fan of their food(nothing to do with them) but I’ll give them four stars for great service and dealing with fussy eaters!

First time here on a Friday night in January. Place was pretty buzzing I have to say, and I got the impression many of the people there were regulars. This is Indian food, but not as we know it Jim. And I mean that in a good way. Part of the Jaipur group of restaurants, this is Indian food up several notches from the average, and indeed re-imagined in many cases. Food was universally excellent. I’ve included photos of a couple of the starters which may give you a feel for the house style. You can expect food that is very very tasty, starters especially that are super stylish. Prices are towards the pricy side, but worth it, it my opinion. Concentrate on starters and mains and forget desserts. I would most definitely return.
