I love this shop for unusual gifts that are really lovely and useful(I hate tack and junk). You will always find something different in Article and it’s very reasonably priced too.

Article is a nice little shop filled with Scandinavian design inspired goods — from mugs to stationary all the way to fancy scented candles. If you’re looking for a special gift for that quirky friend, Article is a great choice. Things can be a little pricey, but the things here are indeed nice.

Article is a great spot for shopping for prezzies or for yourself. I’ve featured it on my blog and in free-lance work in the past but hadn’t been in a while so it was great to revisit on Unilocal #DublinDesignNight — on the night we were treated to screen printing by Anita and Martin from Clover Rua — which was fun and it was brilliant to be able to take away your own screen print as a memento from the night(I plan on framing mine) — the shop offers a wide selection of Irish and Irish based designers and prices vary so there is a price bracket for all tastes and wallets. Big thumbs up for Article — add it to your list!

I wanted pretty much everything in this shop. All the things. Just, wrap them up. Ship them out. I’ll take ‘em. Great place to grab a gift for sure. I just wish I had felt more welcome while I was excitedly ooohing and aaahing over everything. The folks working there just sort of eye rolled at me rather than joining in my delight. Whatever. You’re here every day.

I love it. It’s a little bit pricey but you have a wide range of articles and the design is great.

Great shop full of odd and wonderful gifts and trinkets, I desperately wanted to buy the bee houses(long wooden tubes with an angle iron roof) for someone, but I couldn’t think of a suitable candidate. They have make your own animal heads — cardboard cut-outs, which are very cool but insanely expensive, still… I’d probably get one if I could rationalise it!

Brilliant for present buying(if you are willing to spend a few bob, as it is a bit pricey!). They always have really nice crockery and smaller homeware items. Great place to find lovely espresso cups and quirky milkjugs. Good place to buy nice notebooks or giftcards too. And they sell mt brand masking tape which I love!

I’m getting a bit sick of using the same adjectives for everything. But gorgeous is just such a perfect word. I should also say that this shop is flamboyantly classy, affordably luxurious, and sublimely quirky. Dya get my drift? It’s deadly! Nestled away on the second floor in Powerscourt Shopping Centre, this is the place to go to buy presents. For other people, or yourself, just sayin… They have everything and anything in here, all clearly and beautifully displayed in the opulent white-walled, high-ceilinged grandeur that is Powerscourt. They’ve got stationary, they’ve got crockery(functional and display), they’ve got aprons, they’ve got giant feather dusters, they’ve got greeting cards, they’ve got jewelry, they’ve got wallpaper, they’ve got pictures, they’ve got lighting, they’ve got wall hangings, and above all, they’ve got giant cardboard deer-heads to stick on your wall. Everything here is high fashion, high design, and as far away from mass produced as you can get. The prices are still pretty reasonable though, which makes this place a giant triple threat of a siopa.

In this holiday season, have you got someone who you just can’t figure out a gift for? Article’s a good place to start: a kitchen store focusing on reused or reusable, always fashionable adornments for the home at reasonable prices. Ceramics cast in the form of disposables. Glowing cutout votive candle holders. Reusable cotton napkins that come on a tear-off roll like kitchen towels. Notepads shaped like apples and pears, where every page is a fruit slice. A «Postcarden» with seeds, where after the person gets the pop-up card they grow cress in the included garden tray. Also check out the Blik wall graphics in the corner, allowing you to treat yourself to an indoor olive tree just by sticking vinyl to your wall. Accessible yet always unique is the vibe from Article’s goods. I even found a gift for my mother there! I’ve done the scarves, the earrings, the lotions, the picture frames, the mugs, the bath products, the keychains, the perfume… so I got her — well, I’m not telling in case she finds this review!
