Over the years Bawnogue Women’s Development Group has made progress and has had a positive impact on the area.
Bawnogue Women’s Development Group is committed to assisting local women to overcome barriers through the provision of community education, lobbying and representation.
BWDG provides community education for women who live in South West Clondalkin.
Community education is credited with engaging people whom the formal education sector has failed.
Using community education the group has provided local people with the opportunity to avail of educational courses which range from personal development through to basic literacy and FETAC accredited courses.
Although the main focus of the project is engaging with local women the group also focuses on policy issues which impact on the women of South West Clondalkin.
