I never do these reviews online, but I feel like I have to for this because my experience with BomBay Pantry was so bad. I ordered Korma and pulao rice. The Korma sauce tasted exactly like one out of a jar that you’d find in any supermarket, the sauce was very bland, and the pulao rice had no spices, it was as though they just threw some basmati in the dregs of the broth. Not happy. Won’t order from here again, it’s not a proper Indian.

After driving by Bombay for years I decided I had to finally give it a try and I have to say I’m glad I did. I really liked being able to see the chefs cook each meal as the orders came in so I knew everything was going to be really fresh. The smells were making me so hungry as I waited. And I had to wait what felt like ages. It must have been near 30 mins from when we put in our order. Once we finally got our food it was worth the wait. Delicious garlic naan bread, poppadoms and rice accompanied our chicken biryani and chicken kirahi. I was so full after but in a good way!

This is my usual restaurant for Indian delivery. Delivery normally takes about 40 minutes to an hour since they are so busy, so if you’re starving, you might want to choose somewhere else. However, the food is delicious and the prices can’t be beat. The«meal deal for two» is more than enough food for two people(and we eat a lot) and contains an onion bajhi(tastes like fancy onion strings), a potato somosa, 2 chicken or veggie dishes, a rice and a naan. One word of warning: the spicy food is actually pretty spicy, so if you don’t like spice, tell them to make it mild.

Good Indian, reliable and quality food. Only downside is deliveries are often slow and sometimes can be a little bit cold when they arrive! Also a little pricey and although they ahve some«value offers for chicken mains» its about € 30 minimum for two mains with rice and naans. You can eat some lovely 3 course early birds in Dublin for around € 20 so its not at all cheap” Clonskeagh Bombay is the best one also, got food from rathfarnham a few times and not as pleased…

Good quality ingredients. Could put more meat in the lamb dishes. Definately less than a year ago.

We revisited Bombay after an absence of 6 or 7 months. I stand by every word of my previous review, spectacular!

A middle of the road Indian restaurant/takeaway — food is nothing to write to Mumbai about but it won’t give you Dehli belly. Expect the usual Indian dishes and fast delivery if you are ordering over the phone. Oh, and you can now order online, so you can keep playing Doom while sorting the dinner out.

There’s a very simple reason why Bombay Pantry has proved so successful and multiplied across Dublin in the last few years — the food is good, very good. The Butter Chicken is aromatic and smooth, with just a hint of spice. The Tikka Masala is similarly mild, but still packs a flavourful punch, and the Vindaloo is fiery, tomatoey, rich and delicious. Order with a garlic naan and pilau rice to share. Yum.
