Well. It is what it says on the box! A Boots Store. It’s not huge inside but they do have a good selection of everything you might need. There is a pharmacy in store too and the staff are always very welcoming and willing to help.

I just want to say what a great help the staff at this store is, especially the blond pharmacy technician whose name I didn’t get but to whom I will be eternally grateful, I hope she reads this! Two weeks ago, on day 2 of our vacation, my daughter and I walked in off the street in desperate straights. My daughter wasn’t feeling well and seemed to be getting more ill by the minute, I was worried she needed antibiotics and being from another country and visiting Ireland for the first time had absolutely no idea how to access the healthcare there. I hoped only to get the name and number of clinic and was preparing to spend the next day in a crowded waiting room but this lovely woman who worked there called a physician she knew whose office was less than five minutes away and made arrangements for my daughter be seen that very evening. As it turned out she did need to be on an antibiotic and I feel so fortunate to have chosen that particular store to walk into and ask. We were told many times on our trip«is mile failte» or «a thousand welcomes», well to the Boots Pharmacy on Upper Baggot St. I say a thousand thank yous!

The Boots chain seem to be opening everywhere of late, though this particular one has been here for a good while. This Boots has all you would expect and the shop is deceptively big inside. There is a full selection of cosmetics at the front giving way to a pharmacy at the back. I’d recommend heading a few doors down to Meagher’s who are just as well stocked and often better value. They’re a long standing local business and the inside has the feel of a real old apothecary.
