If you’re looking for an epic sandwich this is the place to go. They’re ham and chicken are some of the best you’ll get in any sandwich place. They’ll make up a sandwich for you, or you can order one of their specials… Don’t be surprised if everyone else in the queue orders the ‘Brewbaker’. Staff are very nice and really efficient, which is what I look for when I’m nipping out for a sambo!

I was walking around Dublin in the morning and came across this place. I ordered a sandwich that is an Irish Breakfast on a baguette and I have to say it is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Tomorrow is my last day in Dublin and I hope to go there again.

Had lunch there the last couple of days. I don’t know about the rest but they make very good paninis and smoothies. I had the chicken cordon bleu and the brewbaker paninis. It was very tasty. It’s about 5 € to take out and is way to big for my stomach though my friend Dimitri thought it’s perfectly big(dude stomach you see). I also had the classico and the berry smoothies. Gosh i had missed smoothies. They were perfect. I couldn’t tell you much about the inside place since i always took it to Trinity grass field(sunny days, yay) but it’s small and appears to be not as comfy as it should be to feel good sitting there.

There’s a lovely informality to the easy-clean interior at Brewbaker Café’s Dawson St(wait… isn’t that Leinster St?) adjunct. It’s on the main thoroughfare and offers the same menu of heaped sandwiches and salads that can be had in its larger and more charming Frederick St HQ, though the outdoor seating and fast counter do give it a personality of its own. There’s a little inherited bravado on that LaVazza awning in regards to the coffee(ehhh) that I’ll chalk up to salesmanship than factual reporting. Other than that, a lovely stop in on a walk back to O’Connell st.

PRO: I used to go here every morning, they make a very very good latte. staff is really nice, and they make the best scone I have ever had. CONTRA: the place is not friendly, and looks like it has just been put together quickly. And the bathroom is not up to my standards… Other than this, I would recommend the lattes for anyone who prefers a good hot drink with a good after taste.

Brewbaker’s Café claim they probably make the best coffee in Dublin so I just had to test that. Turns out their coffee is ok but what they should really be advertising is ‘probably the best hot chocolate in Dublin’! They are right in between some of the better known coffee chains so that’s probably why I’ve been walking past Brewbaker’s for this long. That and the fact that it’s only a small place. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed, still if you want ‘probably the best coffee in Dublin’ I’m just not convinced you’ll get it here.
