I didn’t expect to find boba/bubble tea places in Dublin so I had to stop by and check it out as it is not far from the Temple Bar area. The bubbles/boba was chewy and sweet(which is good) but the tea was lacking. I probably would not recommend unless you are in the area as Aobaba across the river has a slightly better version.

I heard tell of the tea with bubble in it and had to give it a try — went in to town especially. The place itself is nestled a few doors inside the entrance of Georges Street Arcade coming from the Stephens Green side. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I did like the inside — bright and colourful and a TV on the counter showing music videos — it felt nice. Speaking with the guy behind the counter, he told us what to do — order the flavours you want, type of tea you want and the type of bubbles you want. It was oddly exciting. We got our tea and headed outside to tuck in and feat our senses on the bubbles. The cups are heat sealed so there no chance of spillages, which is a great idea really. I ordered blueberry and strawberry green tea — I popped my fat straw through the seal like an anxious school kid and sucked! The sensation of the bubbles is unique; they have a plastic feel to them and when you gently bite, they pop open and release a kind of sweet fizz. We got the regular size which was really big, and too much to be honest. The drink is very very sweet — too sweet for me in fact so I couldn’t finish it. I thought it would be more like a flavoured cold tea with an interesting twist but after a few sips it started to leave an odd taste in my mouth. I’m not a fan if sugary drinks, so don’t let my experience stop you from trying — the bubble part alone if definitely worth a try — maybe share the cup though as its too big for one! Good for sugar heads, trying something different heads, and suck suck suck till the bubbles are all gone then head to a party on a sugary high heads!

Have gone there a few times. The people that work there seem to enjoy their job for the most part, which can really make the experience as a customer much better. They are always helpful and know what they’re talking about!

The most fun you can have with Tea !! I love Bubbletea !! I am also mildly addicted to it. The combinations are endless and you can really create your own flavour of drink. It’s a bit daunting going in the first time as the menu is so big and with some many foreign ingredients BUT don’t let it put you off. You choose your flavour or combination of flavours which can be juice based or milk based(lactose free), then they add in the tea(black, green or red tea) and then you can add in extras like tapioca balls(the little balck ones) which are chewy and in my opinion disgusting, Boba which are little balls filled with a flavour of your choice or finally you can get fruit jellies. My current favourite is mango and passion fruit tea with peach jellies.

I am from the States, and the bubble tea here is the best I have had. The woman behind the counter mixed my drink just for me. Plus, the plastic that seals the top is so cool!

Finally a traditional bubble tea place! When my friend told me about it, I ran down to check it out. They have a ton of flavors, from more traditional tea flavors to fruity smoothie concoctions. I tried a coconut tea and it was nice. The next time I had the traditional tea flavor and that is where it’s at. SOGOOD. Excellent texture of the tapioca too. Yum! And I got a punch card to collect points to a free drink. Bonus. My only complaint is that they didn’t have any large cups available. The guy working there was very apologetic and said that they are awaiting a shipment and they source everything from Taiwan. Points of authenticity! But still, having only one size cup available was a little sad. It also makes me wonder if future late shipments will cause other shortages on flavors or whatnot. Hope not! Regardless, I will be back whenever I’m in the area.

Bubble tea! It’s hands down the most fun drink on the planet. I got one with coconut and vanilla, it was delicious. I expected it to be way too sweet for my taste but it wasn’t. Just refreshing, tasty and fun. The guy working there(the owner?) was very pleasant. I will make this place a regular stop! A little about bubble tea: it’s tea, or any drink really, with tapioca balls. There is a huge choice of flavours and drinks.
