A lot of people have said to me no burritos and blues is not as good as x or y place they go but, for me, I just keep going back. I love the fact the beans are mashed, I think it blends the flavours better. I had the burrito bowl for the first time the other day and it was top notch. Don’t go for it if you are looking for a light option though as for what it lacks in wrap, they make up for with loading up the bowl! My only criticism would be the limited beverage options and the limited seating. I think the place is usually for the students at DIT though, so that makes sense!

Delicious Burrito, cheap, and they’ve got beer. What more do you want? Handy spot for a quick feed.

Burritos and Blues is situated in a lovely part of Dublin and offers both inside and outside seating. It’s usually pretty busy and explodes at lunch time on weekdays with the amount of students from DIT, DBS and Trinity looking to get their grub on. My experience of Burritos and Blues has usually been ok but my biggest gripes are the prices and burrito quality when compared to competing brands, some of which are a minute’s walking distance away!(eg. Little Ass, Pablo Picantes and Mama’s Revenge) I’d love to give it a better review but the only thing Burrito’s and Blues really has over it’s rivals is its seating space.

It is great to see a late night burrito place in Dublin. The few times I’ve been here have been just before the closing time of 4am and they serve good burritos to help restore the energy levels and keep the night going. On a side note, the security man here is really nice unlike many other places!

Burritos & Blues, Blues & Burritos. A place I’ve ventured many, many times. It does a lot right, the décor is fine, the prices are great and they’re very fast at getting you a burrito. Dublin has met its saturation point for burrito places and so because of that we must look at Burritos & Blues with a more critical eye. Is it close to the best burrito/taco you’ll get in Dublin? I don’t think so. Little Ass & Boojum are but two others I can think off the top of my head that trounce this place. You won’t go wrong ordering Burritos & Blues, but you won’t be wowed either, it’s your slightly above Dublin-standard Burrito joint and that’s just fine. In short: Meets the Dublin standard and surpasses it slightly, the price will always be right and you won’t be disappointed, but cast your eye slightly further afield and you’ll find much better burrito greatness.

Not bad, went for the burrito bowl with carnitas… Just a little too watery for me and flavours get lost somewhere. The guacamole has a «rustic» texture to it, courtesy of the chunks of onion. Much prefer the vibe in here rather than across the road, just feel the staff are a bit too over friendly and annoyingly hipster over there, while here… Chilled and friendly just like the music in the background!

Disclaimer: I am a California style burrito snob. This burrito would get a 1⁄10 in California and this place would go out of business immediately. However, Dublin is a good burrito desert and it’s cheap, so I’ll bump it a star. Meat is dry and there just isn’t enough. The meat: rice/beans ratio is awful. Just doesn’t have much flavor and isn’t tender enough. They call it Mexican rice, but it isn’t. It’s Mexican as much as an «Irish Pub» in Tijuana is Irish. There’s too much and it’s stringy. Doesn’t mesh with the burrito well. The Pico de Gallo looks like it’s from a can at Tesco Express. The guac is low quality. One positive thing overall is that you don’t get as many random non-Mexican flavors like you do at Boojum. I don’t understand why the owner or whatever doesn’t take a field trip to California and actually learn the craft of burritos(burritos aren’t from Mexico actually, burritos are an American spin off of Mexican food). The locals can create wonderful burritos there without anything you can’t get in Dublin. At the most basic tiny taqueria a lone chef can produce tons of burritos per day lightyears better than this place. Study the craft. Get it right and you will have lines out the door even with raised prices.

So I recently visited Dublin, Ireland and for whatever reason woke absolutely craving a burrito. This is where I used Unilocal to find a burrito place. First place that popped up was Burrito and Blues. Looked pretty appealing so I thought I would check it out. I am happy that I did. My date and I traveled by bus to get there and when we showed up there were already a couple of people in line. This is usually a good sign. The guy who helped us out was extremely helpful and nice. They don’t cut you short on ingredients which is a plus. The best part is the free chips and guacamole you get when you make it to the register. They have free wifi which is great. I was able to check in and received my chips and guacamole with no issues. I got a large steak burrito with a bottle sprite with the free chips and guacamole for about 8 – 9 € not bad for a good burrito place. Recommended if you are hungry and want to chill for a bit. Good name and good business. Internet password: burritoblues

This is where I go when I want to treat myself at lunch time during the week, or late at night on the way home. I haven’t had the burrito in a while now but I remember liking it. My go-to dishes are the quesadilla and the burrito bowl. The ingredients are fresh and I can actually smell them cooking from my office window. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean. The only thing I would complain about is the amount put in the burrito bowl can vary with whoever is preparing dish and obviously I prefer when it’s pretty full !

I think the place is pretty overrated compared to the quality of the ingredients. This is a very average burrito. I was expecting more. The place is clean though.

You cannot beat Burritos and Blues for a decent burrito. Although it’s not my favourite place to get a burrito in Dublin, the student deal keeps me coming back!

Still trying to find a Mexican burrito equivalent to San Diego. Good guacamole. Good hot sauce. Okay burrito but it hard to care when you lived in Southern California.

Stopped in here for a very quick bite. You get to construct the burrito however you like, which is cool. I got the chicken with everything, including guacamole. It all tasted great, except for the tortilla chips which were bland and came served with a nasty little bowl of stagnant melted cheese. I’d probably opt for a salsa dip next time round. Not a place to linger, but it’s super quick, good value and very satisfying. Doesn’t quite match Pablo Picante, in my opinion; I think aesthetically it’s very dull and the drinks selection isn’t as interesting, but it’s not bad.

My first impression of this place back in 2010 wasn’t great but it had a lot to live up to as I had been a massive fan of the original Burritos and Blues in Ranelagh. For years after it closed there had been a large burrito(bean and cheese, mmm) shaped hole in my heart and in my belly and so when finally Burritos and Blues reopened it’s doors on Wicklow Street I was ecstatic, and then it was merely ok. However, it has improved greatly since those first few months. There are too many improvements to mention but everything I bemoaned in my first review have been resolved. There are so many delicious burrito places in Dublin now but this has to be one of my favourites for a few reasons. They actually play blues music! This is not just a name! They use proper refried beans, the mushy super savoury kind, yum. Their location is also spot on, right beside some of my favourite pubs in Dublin and they’re open late! A fantastic place for drunken or pre-drunken guzzling. As well as any other burrito time of day…

Just ate my very first burrito in life… And definitely am not regretting the experience… Freshly made, and simply devoured it… My goodness, it was excellent! And the next visit I can use the ’10% off any Burrito’ deal, nice offer!

Loved the burrito here. I had to look at the receipt to find out what I had… yes one of those nights :-) As it turns out I had a bean burrito and the hot salsa and all I can remember is the heat coming off the salsa… mwahahaha Will defenitely come back for more ;-))

I’m from California so I know good Mexican food, be it a taqueria or a more formal establishment. Since I miss having loads of restaurants as options, I will be kinder here… :) I think it’s a good enough spot for a Mexican fix; but, aside from the marinated chicken, the eats could use a bit of spicing up! I have ordered the burrito in a bowl twice and that’s a healthier option, so ‘thumbs up’ for making that available! There are at least a couple other better ‘quick Mexican eat’ options out there; but, that doesn’t mean I won’t return to B&B…

I love burritos and I’m quite fussy about them as well. So I am please to say that Burrito’s and Blues is a great place to eat. I’ve been in a few times and found that the smaller ones are actually tastier than the massive ones. That might just be me but the combination is easier to eat and you get a better amount of wrap. The salsa sauces are great, I normally have 3 which is one off the hot one and its pretty darn good. I have also tried the Salsa Fries which I thought were amazing. Its basically a burrito filling on a load of tasty fries. Expensive but you get a lot with it as well! Worth a try I say. The café itself is pretty cool and some cool blues music going on in the background, they make the burrito’s pretty fast as well! If you can get the pork filling give that a try its delicious, but the beef is great as well.

Now that Little Ass Burrito has moved to Dawson Street, this is where I have to head for my burrito fix. Luckily for me, Burritos & Blues is delicious. It’s a bit more DIY than its donkey-fancying competitor, and there’s a little more variety on the menu too. It also has the advantage of a having more room and a decent seating area. I ordered a pork burrito, stuffed to the gills(trotters?) with salsa, rice and beans. I was assured that everything is super-fresh and the pork is marinated and carved with care. This made absolutely no difference to me, since I ended up ingesting it faster than you can say«…but you have to pay for it first!»
