Café Jago’s

This is a real little gem, hidden away between the grand canal and Lower Mount street on Powers Court. Café Jago offers beautiful fresh made sandwiches on all sorts of bread. I was here yesterday for lunch and got a beautiful Chicken salad sandwich on freshly baked Rye bread, even the mayonnaise was gorgeous!
A colleague suggested it to me a few weeks back when I was stuck for lunch ideas, having tired of my boring salads and soup. I tried their Parma ham on Foccacia bread, which by the way i’m not a huge fan of because every time I’ve had it its been dry! This was the nicest Foccacia i’ve tasted by far. My only negative was there wasn’t enough tomato or lettuce, but my second trip back yesterday it was perfect, so no complaints here!
The service is great to and they have an upstairs terrace if you want to eat in.
