Testé deux fois à emporter, délicieux avec de grosses portions. Leur soupes et curry sont très bonnes mais attention à leur sauce chili qui est bien pimentée. Je recommande.

I got a voucher from Unilocal to eat in here because of a photo competition(thank you guys!). Oh boy, I was glad. I decided to walk to the shop to take a look in their premises to get a feel for the business to write a good and honest review. The place is so clean and neat! There are a few seats but the main attraction is the chance of eating in the comfort of your home so they do take away or pick up food. Usually such places are smelly and ugly because people do not go there and you can only imagine their kitchens… in Camile I was glad to see an open-plan so while ordering or choosing from their delish options(which includes calories and even a light meal option/veggie/healthy vegetable based drinks/nibbles/full meals), you can see them working and cooking — and everything looks bright, clean and brand new. The price goes from 5 to 10 per box but the best deal you can get before 4pm for lunch boxes(at around 5 or 6 € each). The box might seem not so big but as soon as you open it, besides the yummy smell that comes from it, you can see that the amount of food is really generous and can feed 2 people. I ordered many different things to try and my absolute fave was the vegetarian pad thai(noodles with fried eggs, vegetables and peanuts) and their wedges which were really tasty, cooked with chili; also the prawns were brilliant. The packaging, seals, seasoning, ingredients are all of high quality and I was positively impressed. The food comes with little containers with sweet chili sauce and grains of peanuts to pour over your feast. They have a few over-the-counter options as for example a very big bag of prawn crackers for 2 € and even the great Murphy’s ice cream. I got also a normal pad thai and a chicken satay — which my husband loved because of its pungency. The only thing that I decided to try that i normally wouldn’t go for are the paper rolls filled with salmon and mint as it makes me feel like I am eating flowers; maybe also they could give hashis with the food. I totally recommend going there so you can stuff yourself before 4pm — you can get great value for money! As my husband put it, «that was absolutely not bad!»

If you’re looking for Thai food, there’s no finer place than Camile. I’m no Thai-food expert, but I know a good meal when I eat one. The food I’ve had from Camile tastes good and is full of interesting flavours. The Salmon Thai Rolls are one of their specialities, and are an essential if you like fish!

I am not a Thai food expert, actually I can survive without Thai food, but we have to expand our viewings out the World of Tasting. I took the chance to try this shop, having one free satay meal, thanks to Unilocal Elite. I have been already to the one in rathmines and was good. First of all this place is more a take away than a restaurant due to small space and limited seats. You can end up eating at the table, while having beside you people queuing for take away :-) so it is fine if you are hungry and wanna eat on the spot, but not for a romantic dinner :-) As take away is superb. Quick service and food is fresh. I ordered the Satay but they didn’t have the sauce so I went for a mekong duck with steamed rice. Owner and girl at the counter were really friendly. Once I placed my order, in less than 5 minutes was ready. Shop is really clean and bright. If you drive till there probably is not the best location for parking but you will find sooner or later a spot. They also do deliveries in the area.

This lovely takeaway/restaurant gave me a lovely free curry the other night! Just for being a Unilocaler may i add. So here’s my review in return for the lovely special edition curry and rice. On arrival to the takeaway i was met by some lovely bright décor and slightly harassed members of staff who politely told me my food wasn’t ready. But i didn’t mind waiting as there were comfortable benches to sit on. The takeaway seemed mainly to be concerned with their deliveries as there was a lot of delivery guys coming and going collecting well filled bags of food and poppadoms. These guys were very smartly dressed in white shirts and black dickiebows which i thought was a nice touch. There were quite a few people waiting on their orders alongside myself and some of them looked a bit fed up but if the food is worth waiting on then the waiting is hopefully worth it. I read some of their literature while i was there and noted some lovely lunchtime offers at a very reasonable price such as my favourite Pad Thai which i will try on my next visit. All in all i was waiting about 40 minutes for my food which added to the fact that i called ahead meant i was waiting about 50 minutes for my food. I was certainly hungry by the time i got home. But it was a Friday night after all. If there is another very slight negative about the shop it was that the smell as you go inside is so spicy and this caught in my throat all the time i was there. But again this reflects what the people are ordering and it is Thai after all! The food itself was very fresh and i was not able to finish it all off and It was spicy without murdering my tastebuds! I’m glad i tried there as i have passed this place so many times without going in but i will make more of an effort now that i tasted their food and seen their menus.

Ok so I’m not one for ordering takeaways I always feel bloated sluggish after them, but not the food from Camile. First time ordering we had we had got a leaflet in our home € 20 for two main dishes and drinks, bargain. The dishes were big portions and full of flavour, they arrived in fancy packaging, boxes, which I love the little details. They didn’t take long to arrive, less than 30mins, second time ordering we ordered online and picked food up, very easy and straight forward to order and was ready within 10 mins of us placing our order, recommend this Thai takeaway as the food is delish fresh, didn’t feel bloated or too full and service was very good Jocelyn

To be overcharged in annoying. To be overcharged twice in the same bill is really annoying. For one of the overcharges to be the free starter you were invited to avail of doesn’t help. The other was a charging of an adult portion for a kiddie meal. Kidults out there, they do crispy chicken now. I got a letter from them telling me that they wanted to get back with me. Apparently I hadn’t called for a while. They were worried that they’d messed up. They wanted to try again. They’d never really left me broken-hearted to begin with — just a few messed up orders, some too-hard butternut squash in my veggie curry — but nothing to wreck a girl. So I gave them another chance, because they asked. Aside from the overcharging, they didn’t put the kid’s chilli sauce on the side, as asked, though I should have known better as they never have, despite always being asked. Also it’s advertised as egg-fried rice. It wasn’t. I used to like Camile, but I think it’s gone the way of so many of these places. Sweet promises, nothing to it.

This review is not based on one occasion but on the overall experience over a number of years now. I love Camile! It’s my go-to delivery service when I’m too lazy to cook. I’ve tried a variety of different dishes(most curries and stir-frys) and never a had a bad meal. The chicken is always good quality, prawns are big, plentiful and not overcooked. The portions are generous and usually the delivery is quite quick. The odd time that it took them over an hour, I usually rang the place and they apologised and offered a free starter with the next delivery. They do different meal deals during the week, have a mobile app loyalty scheme to get every 11th delivery for free once the driver ‘checks in’ on your phone and the double portions get delivered with 2 sides of rice so it’s enough for 2 – 3 people. Even with their delivery fee of 2.50Euro you still pay under 20quid for a restaurant– quality meal and you don’t have to move a muscle.

Ok — So I feel it is my duty to write a review because the service I received from Camile Thai in Phibsboro yesterday eve was quite dismal and it somewhat annoyed me. I ordered my food via the«world wide web». It took more than one hour to deliver. Not once did I receive a call to explain that Camile were having some delays getting my food to me. I would not have mind as I was in no rush and was nicely flaked out in front of the fire distracted by an awful episode of the Simpsons featuring Lady Gaga. Still though, a simple call or text would have been a nice gesture. Instead I felt the need to call them at the hour mark just to check that the building was still standing and also to caringly check that my driver was safe and sound like any good mother would. I was told by the lady in Camile that the driver had gone with the food some time ago and that it should arrive very soon. Naturally I asked, «Do you know what may be taking the driver so long?». Her response, «Traffic is very bad out there». OK — OK. So let’s break this down. It takes approximately 5 minutes to drive from the Camile in Phibsboro to my house. There is never a huge amount of traffic on the Cabra road. As they say, I’m from«THEARREAA» and know it rather well. Just for the record I’ve 2 Decades of experience. Her stuttered and hesitant response also caused some suspicion. I could almost see her eyes shifting upwards and in the direction of her make-believe side to her brain. I am no Sherlock Holmes but I did get this overwhelming feeling that the person in question was telling me some white lies — Telling me porkys as you may say. I called her bluff and responded«Doubt it takes more than 30 minutes to get from Camile to get to me Love. I only live 5 minutes down the road. My Granny could walk …» and with that I could see the drivers headlights. She was lucky and the interrogation turned to the unsuspecting driver. As he walked up the garden I expressed my worry that the food might be freezing because he was«gone some time». His answer was filled with comforting words telling me that he had just left Camile and that the food was still hot(even touching the bag with his hands as he said it). He went on to further explain that they were short of drivers and that the food preparation was delayed to accommodate him. I was happy, His reasons were believable. We exchanged goods. What I mean by this is — He gave me the goods and I closed the door. Upon opening the food I was disgusted. The food was cold. Something was wrong here. Either the lady was telling the truth and the driver went for a sneaky something along the way or the driver was telling the truth and the food was just lying there under a «heat» lamp for a considerable amount of time before he collected it. Either way, I was now a disgruntled customer and disgruntled enough to take the time to tell the people. The food overall — was just — OK. I’ve had better. In fact the reason I ordered was because I previously ordered a Camile Thai from Ranelagh and the standard was so much better. I will not be using Camile in Phibsboro again. It unwittingly brings back memories as to why I stopped ordering from here over a year ago. On the plus side. It sounds like Camile Thai in Phibsboro are hiring more delivery drivers. The recession is officially over. Well, judging from the prices Camile are charging for substandard food there never«wore» a recession. Haans B.

I think it seems to be hit or miss. last time i ordered i really enjoyed it but I ordered the same dish tonight and was totally disappointed! it was pretty much cold when it got here(which doesn’t make sense as the restaurant is approx a 10 min drive from my house) it was really bland besides the taste of onion and a bit soggy. pretty annoyed i paid nearly 15 euro for it as i expected something else. wont be ordering again

Ok so I’ve been to t’other one now in Rathmines. I shall write a separate review, but I thought I would update this one too, with the new info I have. Get the salmon teriyaki! It’s a fillet of salmon(massive and perfectly cooked) on a bed of greens and veges, with lots of teriyaki sauce. I got it with white rice, and honestly it was lovely. Perhaps a little sweet for some people’s tastes, but not nearly as gloopy as the Pad Thai I’d had previously. (Incidentally, my accomplice had the Pad Thai, and it was marginally better than my previous review, but still not good)

Disappointing Meal. V small portions and for quite a price. Curries are tastier and better priced elsewhere. Also delivery 2.50 is a rip off

UPDATE! 5-11-2012 [I have downgraded this review from a 2 to a 1 star after my most recent experience. This place is close to me, so for convenience sake even though it was in my opinion a really bland and totally overrated Thai take-away at least I could be guaranteed of the freshness and relative healthiness of the particular dishes I would get. I ordered last week and actually threw the dish out. It was tasteless, the veg was not fresh and the rice was either under cooked or hardened from being left there. I expressed my concerns on their Facebook page and once again they have deleted and ignored.] I have to totally disagree with these positive reviews. I will NEVER order from here again. I think this is the blandest Thai take away I have ever had. I have had spicier and more flavoursome Thai food from greasy Chinese take aways. I have really tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt on a number of occasions as it is just down the road from me. But alas each time I have ordered I have been less and less impressed and more and more disappointed. I am actually just annoyed by this place. Where to start??? OK the tom yum prawn soup. Nearly 6 euro and 2 little prawns? I’m sorry but are you taking the piss? Also not nearly as hot(spicy hot) as it should be even after asking for it EXTRAHOT! I have made this soup myself before and it was epic in comparison. Main courses… I am not a creamy curry fan so I will always go for a stir fry or noodle dish. I have had the pad prik haeng with tofu and vegetables most times I have ordered. Each time asking for it extra hot. I got it «hot» once and never got it in any way spicy ever again. The veggies really vary in this dish but the last time I got lots of onion that was not chopped up properly. Just really careless prep. Not impressed! I give this place 2 stars because I like the prawn crackers and there is no doubting the ingredients are really fresh. I don’t know who owns this place but I would be really surprised if they are actually from Thailand. Cos if they were then if you asked for something hot it would burn the gob off of ye! I have expressed my views on a number of occasions on Camille’s Facebook pages and every time I have been ignored. They only seem to like replying to positive comments. I also think they are terribly overpriced. If you want an authentic spicy flavoursome Thai take away then ring I would recommend you give Thai Spice in Dublin 1 a call(see my review)…

This place is seriously good! Gorgeous food, authentic flavors — watch out for the cardamom pods and bits of star anise! That’s a good sign as far as I’m concerned! I’m currently obsessed with their Massaman curry — so yum! They forgot my drinks once when I ordered delivery(was annoying but not a huge deal) and they sent out delicious FREE starters the next time I ordered — really appreciate that kind of service!
