J’ai passé 5 nuits dans cet hotel. Les réceptionnistes sont très acceuillants et souriants, les pièces sont propres et bien aménagées. On a l’impression d’être dans unancien château

I did not expect much and I only received what was offered: a room wit a bed, shower, cupboard and breakfast. They did consider our request for a room facing the back, hence the noise was limited, however the walls were very thin and for 2 out of 3 nights we were able to hear the neighbours conversations and telly programs. But over all very nice stay, location is top and staff all friendly. Surely you can do better in Dublin bit definitely worth as well. Do not expect any ameities in the rooms(shampoo etc) neither a hair dryer(rentable from reception though) but you surely can count on clean rooms and keen staff.

Walking into my room was like stepping back in time: high, elaborately decorated ceilings, a huge fireplace with mantel, plush carpet, dark wooden dressers, long windows with sumptuous curtains, and a small table for tea. I suspect this may have been the home of an important Irish statesman from long ago, especially since the building next door has an inscription on its brick front about some important figure of the past. Another plus is its location on O’Connell street, a great place for shopping and dining. Besides a lovely atmosphere and free wifi though, nothing else impressed me. No shampoo was provided, and my bed was slightly lopsided. The pillows were too soft, and unfortunately the curtains could not be drawn to block out the early morning sunlight. Besides the somewhat anachronistic appearance, this hotel was like any other standard room.

I was in charge of a group of 25 college students staying at the Charles Stewart for one week, so I have a lot to go off of for this review. Staff was super helpful, always able, willing to make recommendations for us in terms of where to eat, drink and spend the day. The rooms, for the price, are clean and comfortable. Some of the bathrooms are extremely small, you can almost shit, shower and shave without moving. Other rooms have enormous bathrooms(we stayed in a combination of single, double and triple rooms). Morning breakfasts hit the spot, you had lots of choice for what to eat and it was prepared to order– and quite fast. Internet did not work from my room, it did work from a few of the student rooms. It works well in the lobby and the lounge. The weird thing about this hotel was their obnoxious numbering system. They don’t follow any logical order and the entire place is one huge maze, so if you’re trying to find a room, you better ask where it is located and not assume you can figure it out. The location should also be pointed out– very central and very safe location. As a single woman, I would feel more than safe staying here alone. There was a hodgepodge of people staying here– young, old, an extremely interesting bunch.

I stay here all the time when going to Dublin for the weekend. Staff are friendly & very nice. Rooms are basic but have tea making facilities, hairdryer & iron. Beautiful building with tall old fashioned staircases & deep red carpets. Showers have big shower heads so feels like you are standing under a warm waterfall — lovely! The highlight is the breakfast where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, cereals, fruit, wheaten bread & they bring you out a big fry-up! Prices are competitive. I would recommend staying here.
