My experience was very positive in the airport. Free parking. A lovely drive to the airport. The sea. The islands. The flight. The staff. We were just back from our trip to the Aran Islands when I learn that the Islands were gong to lose their plane service. With a loss of 40 or so jobs in Aer Arann. I was very saddened to hear this as this airport will effectively close as a result. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel, Aer Arann got a temporary reprieve. I really hope it works out for them. And this airport.

About what you’d expect out of a tiny airport servicing the Aran islands. There was a vending machine serving coffee, soft drinks and some snacks and some tables and chairs to relax in while you wait for your flight. Unfortunately my repeated requests to fly co-pilot were denied.
