Lovely Italian food for a decent price near the Dublin Spire. They have a nicely priced lunch menu during the week and a different one on weekends. It’s a small, but cosy venue, which had an authentic Italian vibe to it, the food was delicious, however I had a pasta with sea food and unfortunately the mussels still had grit in them. So basically they had not cleaned them properly. When I told the waitress though, they gave me a completely new plate of pasta, with even more prawns to compensate for the mussels. So this was actually a quite nice experience. They also have loads of parmesan to go with the pasta :)

Years ago I went here on a really lovely date! I remember the service being incredible! The food was decent and the price was excellent. I think I will have to re-visit soon to give an up to date review!

Lovely meal. We had two pizzas and a penny dish. The food was good and service friendly and helpful.

Ordered a pizza. What I got was cheese and a bit of «pizza». I know how the real Italian pizza taste like. The one I had here was far from it… unfortunately…

Why does nobody advertise this place? They actually have amazing midweek deal for Pizza or Pasta with a beer or a glass of wine for 10.99 € — I can’t complain about that one, most places only offer such deals for lunch! At Cucina you can have really nice pizza, I had the Parma traditional with Parma ham and ruccola, simple and tasty! Have a macchiato afterwards, they understand how a good coffee hast to taste for sure!

The major thing that Cucina has going for it is it’s location near Cineworld, since the only other options nearby are Eddie Rockets or the Woolshed and sometimes you’re just not in the mood for a burger. I’ve never been disappointed by the food at Cucina, but then again, I’ve never been wowed. Generally I feel that if I were paying a little bit less, I would be completely satisfied, but at their current price point, a lot is left to be desired. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, and I’d recommend that pasta carbonara or the fillet steak.

What Cucina has going for it is ambiance. Red check tablecloths, candlelight, and cozy booths lend to an inviting, homey feel. It’s a nice place for intimate conversation with friends or a good bet on date night. As for food, my pasta wasn’t very good. One look at the personal pizzas convinced me that pasta was the wrong way to go here. Cucina’s pizzas are large, fluffy, and cheesy without being greasy. The sauce was dripping out of each bite. I was probably drooling as I watched my friends take bite after bite. It was the first time a friend offered a piece and I didn’t bother with the polite first refusal. I also had a mean piece of chocolate cake and a nice glass of red wine to round out the night. It’s a decent place overall. I think the prices are a bit high but if you are on Parnell Street and not feeling like Chinese or Korean food, Cucina is a good bet.

New place with neat decoration and pleasant service. Wine pricing was odd as it was cheaper to buy a bottle than a haf litre caraffe(glasses also chaper!?). Pizzas were tasty with a nice base. Spinach and feta well flavoured, mixed meat also good. Service efficient especially as we had tickets for the theatre.
