Comfortable Lounge, but very few food options. Brown bread is generally a few days old, also only OJ is in small tetrapaks, surely some fresh OJ would not be too difficult to arrange. Plus side — free Irish Times

Eine recht nett gestaltete Lounge mit guter Auswahl an Spei und Trank.

Can’t help but give 4 stars, cause it’s an airport lounge where I can get FREE wifi, FREE grog, FREE Irish King crisps, FREE Irish McCambridge brown bread, FREE Irish cheddar cheese, and FREE Kings Crisps(I know, said it twice, but I have twice the love for Irish King crisps!). It’s an airport lounge, not a fancy one, does what it says on the tin — and has KING Crisps!

First visit to the lounge in terminal 1 last week. Pretty good, and very peaceful. Better value than the rest of the airport at just € 20. Can’t wait to try the new lounge in Terminal, but i’m not travelling through T2 till January :(!

This place is a life saver. For just 20 Euros you can sit quietly in comfy chairs with free wifi(you have to pay in the rest of the airport) and as much food and drink as you like. If you’ve got a long layover, it makes more sense to drop a twenty here as you will mostly likely spend more than that on food/drink/internet in the terminal while being stressed out by all the hustle and bustle and uncomfortable chairs. It’s not luxurious but it’s quiet, comfortable and meets all your needs.

BMI’s lounge, and therefore Star Alliance’s lounge, in Terminal 1 of Dublin airport. Very good signage, the SkyTeam lounge is just across the hall. Set up as others in Europe I’ve been to, they have fridges full of sodas and beers, as well as self-service mixers and help-yourself spirits. Peanuts and chips available, as well as an automated latte/cappuccino/espresso coffee machine. A couple of TV’s tuned in to the local and international news channels. Lots of seating space available, but during rush hour(17:00 to 18:00), the place fills to the brim. There are two 18:30 departures — one to London and one to Frankfurt, the two main Star Alliance hubs in Europe. Once they’re gone, the place is a ghost town. Restrooms are outside, secured by a pin-lock door. Get the code from the receptionist.
