I had my little heart set on trying Korean food for the first time but the doorman on the lapdance bar nextdoor pointed out that it had been closed down quite a while so I had to make do with 3 pints of Arthur for dinner instead :(

I’ve always only ever heard good things about korean bbqs and though I lived in areas highly populated with Korean immigrants I never managed to make it to one until now and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. Despite the restaurants location in temple bar, there’s nothing touristy or kitschy about it, it’s just clean lines and function.
I’m adventurous when it comes to food, but at the same time I’m quite picky about what I do and do not like. A restaurant like EAst presents me with the perfect solution, I can pick whatever I want and as much of it and can leave those icky mushrooms out if I want to. You’re given the choice of an assortment of fresh, vibrant vegetables, a meet of your choosing (or not), plus whatever spices or sauces that you’d like. Then it is all lovingly prepared by one of the chefs right in front of your eyes.
If you’re trying to save a bit of cash, but still want to try out your fill of BBQ I suggest you go during lunch time, same great food, with a smaller bill.

A little gem in Temple Bar, EAsT is a brand new korean BBQ restaurant, the only one of its kind in Dublin.
The surroundings are stylish, the staff are lovely and the fantastic food is cooked right in front of you!
EAsT offers a good value three course pre-​movie meal for a mere € 19.95. You can’t go wrong, folks!

I am so happy to have found a place in Dublin that does Korean BBQ. I was suffering withdrawal symptoms, as it’s so easy to find a restaurant that serves this food in San Francisco.
This is right in the heart of Temple Bar off a narrow alley, so the location is top notch. Food is authentic, very reasonable and good. Service is wonderful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the interior is very modern. I definitely will be going here again.
