Ok, so it’s time for a revisit, after another half dozen lunches I can honestly say this is up there with the best :) it helps it’s been very sunny and there’s no better place to eat your tasty lunch than St Stephen’s green, a digital also that the team listened to my feedback in my last review(thank you for the message — and for listen to us here on Unilocal!) I find it amazing that everyday at the moment the menu each day nails it, I’m ordering a half sandwich most days and salad because it all looks so good! Looking forward to lunch at Emer’s kitchen is something to look forward to each morning on the long slog to lunch time!

I discovered Emer’s kitchen about a month ago, its located just off the corner of St. Stephens Green — on Leeson Street. I was go glad to see a new independent food and coffee shop on the block. Emer’s kitchen is particularly different in the care and attention that she puts in to her wonderful homemade food. Her coffee and scones are to completely die for in the mornings — fresh out of the oven raspberry scones and a coffee are my sin each morning at just € 3.90!!! And the queues from local well-heeled school children and their mums for afternoon treats in testament to the quality and love she puts into her produce. Really cool layout and design — super-friendly staff and the value for money. I personally would prefer to eat quality food at great prices and support independent businesses than put down a(clearly new) business for its lack of choice. Well done Emer’s Kitchen– highly recommended. Yum! Yum!

Very clean and new. Looks for impressive than what you can actually purchase. Mainly for coffee than food. Coffee portions are small(8oz or 12oz only). Asked for low fat milk but got full fat. Hardly any selection of food. 1 choice of sandwich(meat) and 1 soup and a few scones/cakes.

A sparkling brand new spot that’s only been open a few weeks and already busy every morning when I walk by. There’s not really any space to sit, so it’s just a take-away place doing breakfast and lunches at the moment. Basically a little café with assorted fresh-baked goodies and coffee for breakfast, and soup & sandwiches at lunch. When I went, they only had one soup & sandwich option going, but I understand they are looking to expand their menu once they get their footing. I am addicted to their raspberry scones! The first one I had was still warm… flaky and moist, with just a light dusting of sugar to give it that extra crunch on the outside. It feels like I’m cheating winter eating fresh raspberry scones(out of season fruits — oh so luxurious). It’s so hard to say no to one of these, especially when the towers of scones on display are clearly visible to any passer-by!
