Let me start with the positives, this place is the cutest little basement café and I really, really wanted to love it! They advised a terrace seating area outside along the street however when I went down, yes I loved their cute curved ceiling and brick walls, went on out to check out the garden terrace… Eh, it was terrible! It was a little courtyard with dirty furniture that looks sparse, there was no frills out here, no flowers or décor that would make this place an enjoyable place to eat. I would alike it to the back alley of restaurants where staff go for a sneaky smoke! The menu is beside the counter on a large chalkboard however, here’s my thing… This is never a good idea. You’re standing at the counter, staff luring at you and you have to spend a few minutes reading the board, the most comfy for customers is to be seated, let me check out the menu from my table and fine, I don’t mine ordering at the counter but this style, where you have to ready from chalkboard t the counter = rushed, panic ordering and you never truly get to check out all the options.

This is a cool little basement café, I’ve only been on Sundays for breakfast, never really that busy. I can vouch for the fry, its exactly what you expect when it comes out and the portion size is spot on. Nice comfy seats and surrounding, you won’t be waiting long for your food at all. The terrace area is not that great but inside makes up for it. There are no menus, you order from the boards having on the wall.

I came in on a weekday morning for a coffee and porridge to go before getting into work — this was around 8:30am. The guy got my order wrong, honey on porridge instead of compote on porridge, but no worries — it was still good. The porridge did take about 10+ minutes to get ready though, so not extremely convenient. Coffee is decent — they serve illy coffee.
