I feel quite bad writing this since the staff have gotten glowing reviews from so many other Unilocalers! I’m wondering if its changed hands or they just had bank holiday staff on, but they never even smiled at us! The waiters were rude and impatient(despite not speaking very good English, so I feel it should have been us entitled to a little impatience!) Having said that, the food was good, they have lots of healthy options but you could also get a full Irish if you wanted — no judgement! They seem to be very proud of their omelettes which did look impressive but I went for an egg and cheese crêpe. Never had a savory crêpe before but it was rather nice! I’d recommend simply for the food, rudeness wouldn’t put me off a decent meal!

Great healthy food, very nice waiters ! I recommend the soup of the day. More desserts will be welcome but the menu for salty dish is great for a snack :)

Fitto Café is my neighbour, yet it never occurs to me to go here. They have done it up nicely though, and it looks a lot more inviting than a few months ago. My friend, who works nearby suggested to try their lunch. Sure, why not. Their main ‘thing’ seems to be that they are health café… yet, I didn’t find the options on the menu particularly healthy(apart from their juices and the egg white omelete) — it was mainly sandwiches, wraps, crepes and burgers and nothing particularly special or inventive. When I think health, I think quinoa, gluten free, lots of grains and nuts and the like… but none of that is served here. Oh well. I opted for the egg white omelette with goats cheese. It came with a free apple, which was a nice touch. It was allright… but priced at 9 euro found it way overpriced… It was small, and I was still hungry afterwards. My friends were happy with their salad and club sambo, but once done, none of screamed: WEHAVETOGOBACKHEREASAP!

I do like the concept of this café, as sugar-laden Dublin is crying out for a health-conscious gym-lover’s café. I LOVE that not only do they have an egg-white omelette on the menu but many types including a create-your-own. I had the fitto coffee, which was the strongest coffee I’ve EVER had! Haha even with milk. Drink with caution! I had the fitto special omelette(five egg whites, spinach, tomatoes, chicken and goat’s cheese). It looked lovely and tasted delicious!!! Recommend!!! And it came with a banana! Only thing was that it definitely wasn’t goat’s cheese, it was brie/camembert. It tasted nice but it would have been good if the staff had mentioned the substitute. Because they didn’t, I’m thinking the chef here may be taking shortcuts…:/

Ah well if the people in here aren’t the nicest people to own a café in Dublin, I dunno who are. I felt welcomed with open arms from the minute I stepped inside. They were chatty, personable, polite and professional. Honestly before I’d even eaten anything, I’d decided I was definitely going back. Anyway, onto the rest of it. These guys are offering something that packaged in a unique way — an entire menu of food that’s been created with health in mind. There’s everything from salads to juices to omelettes etc. They then serve whatever dish you ordered with your choice of a piece of fresh fruit. Very cute and thoughtful. I had the five egg white omelette which is the house special. It was delicious. My only feedback would be that they have four menus in total for different things. It’s pretty confusing and hard to figure what’s being sold /what to go for. If they could amalgamate these to make the process a little more streamlined, I think that would pay them dividends. Besides this though, very nice place and definitely will be back.

I was so excited about the opening of this café/bistro. All about healthy eating and a balanced diet, there isn’t a single dish on their extensive menu that would jeopardise your clean eating. I ordered the salmon salad which can also be had with tuna. It was served with spinach leaves, pine nuts, avocado and vinaigrette. This was served with a fresh orange(unstead of crisps) for 7.95Euro. Nice idea! Unfortunately, my avocado was very very far away from being ripe. I told the waitress and she sent the chef/owner over. She then apologised and exchanged the avocado with a perfectly good one. They do serve what they call ‘Fitness Coffee’ which is a blend of their roast and various spices like cinnamon and cardamom. The waitress recommended this without any milk or milk alternative(and they do soy, rice and almond) and she was right. Very interesting beverage indeed. Overall the service needs improvement. Maybe 3 tables were taken so it wasn’t busy but I never got the water I ordered and waited quite some time to have my order taken. They are probably just teething problems and I will certainly be back to try more yummy fresh salads and sandwiches.
