A good pub that has let its self go. I used to love coming here as it was a family local but in the last year or so it has become very low. Used to be clean and looked after but now its filthy and has little if no maintenance. It was a good Dublin pub with real dubs and a very good banter great place to go to with friends and family and it is a big size and for smokers has a big smoking area out back its split into two parts the big lounge area and the bar area were most the locals sit. If it was giving some TLC and a boost i would happily return and it would become my local again but for now ill go some place else.

This a good stop to catch a match on the TV, especially during the day at the weekend. It’s a nice enough pub with friendly bar staff who are willing to put one of the many TV’s on for you if you wish to watch a game. The décor is a bit naff — loads of ‘aged’ objects from when we walked around bare-foot and ate raw potatoes stuck to the walls. A common trend with so many pubs in Ireland these days and alas abroad. The clientele are real ‘Dublin’ — a bit rough around the edges but not threatening. It’s got a real Northside flavour to it. For you smokers, there is a decent sized smoking area out the back.
