I love open green areas and I have always been a frequent goer of Stephen’s Green, Merrion Sq and Phoenix Park. I had been to the Botanical Gardens in the area of Drumcondra(D9) before but never had heard a word about Griffith Park and this is such a lovely spot! I ended up finding this place by chance and since I have been a regular. This patch is not so well known as it is not a touristic space but more of a local for people who live in this area(including Glasnevin) in this very residential North side community. So this is an advantage as it never gets over crowded like other parks in the busy area of Dublin 2. Going there you can expect to find a peaceful oasis with a few people walking their dogs, birds flying low, a nice sound coming from the Tolka river stream and lots of greenness. I like the fact you can go around and there is a high point so you can see the park from a different perspective. There is a also a children’s playground. I heard that many decades ago this place was a landfill so I am absolutely glad to see what it has become!

Nice park to spend a nice evening or run following the riverside walk.

Lovely little park with excellent playground. Really well maintained. Little river flows through the middle with lots if ducks and swans in it. It’s small enough but plenty big for a good stroll. Small amounts of parking to North and south side entrances.

Nothing better than a quiet evening stroll in a now deserted park! After a long day of visitors it is lovely to feel like i have the park to myself, my little boy and my dog!

My favorite park with it’s beautiful flower beds and river which I used go paddle in trying to catch pinkies. I love to sit up on the hill in the afternoon with only the birds to listen to. My dogs love it too as they are allowed off lead last hour before closing!

One of the nicest spots in and around Dublin 9 on a sunny summer’s day. This park is very popular with local parents with young children who avail of the playground facilities. Situated just off Drumcondra road, in the heart of that suburb, it has a number of unique features including a bizarre shape, somewhat like a bellows, dictated by the road and the Tolka river which border it. It also slopes upwards from the entrance and best of all has a bridge entrance over the river, which adds a nice dimension to any walk.

This park has the wonderful location of being en route to the Botanical gardens and the river Tolka runs through it creating a lovely riverside walk. It covers the two neighbourhoods of Glasnevein and Drumcondra. The park is just over 7 hectares in size. The park has a fine selection of trees, a beautiful flower garden, and a popular playground. There is also a new pedestrian bridge. Great spot for a picnic or to have your lunch before catching a game at Croker.
