This is a great local spot be it for a few drinks over the weekend or to watch a match on a Sunday. The place is always jammed. They have a great smoking area(for the smokers amongst us), which is like an indoor/outdoor area, it’s really well sheltered and heated. Inside it divided into three areas, you have the main bar at the front, a little cosy area and a bigger bar at the back. I personally love the front bar as during the winter there is always a real fire lighting, which creates lovely warm, cost atmosphere, and of course, after a few drinks you don’t want to leave! Staff are super friendly, and a bit of banter too, as are the floor staff.

In Harry Byrnes you can really experience the ‘Irish pub atmosphere’ without a ton of tourists around you, if as a tourist you’re looking to find this, go here! Its a nice local, with a fair amount of different beers, great staff and nicely located just out of town and close to the sea! Would definitely go here and meet the locals while having a pint or two :) !

This bar was right around the corner from our hotel and was filled with locals. the drinks are fairly priced and the atmosphere was very relaxed. they dont serve food here so dont go expecting to find some. if you looking for a quiet place to grab some drinks with anyone come here, just make sure there isn’t any major sporting events on at the time your looking to get that quiet drink.

Good old style Dublin pub in a nice location. There’s always a good atmosphere, staff are always very friendly and the beer garden is outstanding with plenty of space. Their pints are also always good. Only downfall is they don’t do food, but there’s a restaurant next door. Overall lovely, friendly spot. Highly recommend!

Nice pub in the Clontarf area. The crowd seems a bit mixed.mature. Ranging from 25 up. It has 3 bars featuring traditiional warm wood feature(panelling, booths, etc.) Great service and a respectable choice of alcohol… but then you are in Ireland! Outdoor smoking area is heated and covered, so it doesn’t really feel like you’re outside. An interesting feature is the masonry, which is rumoured to be from the frontice of a renowned old Dublin bank. It makes for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. So, it’s a good venue for catching up with friends over a drink. It’s also quite close and enroute to the city centre,. making it easy to carry on elsewhere if you want to. I had a pleasant evening there and would happily go back.

Harry’s a local bar but is fairly welcoming of strangers. The pub has two distinct modes; 1) quiet, low-key and suitable for a mid-week chat up pint and 2) Packed weekend late bar that’s good as a destination in itself or as the jump-off point for town. The weekend mode is suitable for singles and there have been a fair few Harry’s couples generated over the years. The smoking section is practically inside, so the deathstick users can keep warm during the worst of the winter weather. Finally, for sports watching Harry’s has multiple TVs dotted around and tends to have a good crowd in for most sporting events with a good bit of atmosphere.

Nice pub, good prices and the atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed. The pub itself is absolutely beautiful real traditional Dublin pub. Could do with a few more women in it though must be 15 blokes to each girl in there but the craic is great

Good oul Harry Byrne’s, really enjoy a few pints in here before heading on into town. I worked in the pub when I was 16 as a lounge boy, still haven’t forgiven the barmen for all the terrible jobs they used to give me! I was just there last Saturday night and it wasn’t too crowded at all, there were 3 of us and we all managed to get seats. It is an older and decent crowd in Harrys but that definitely has its upsides — very relaxed and chilled. Make sure you check out the Well which is situated in the main bar, nice touch! This pub is definitely up there with the best of them and it doesn’t matter when you plan on leaving, there are lots of Taxis parked outside.

Harry Byrne’s is sprawling local pub, divided into three bars. You could wander around in here and bump into yourself coming back, so if you are meeting someone it is best to give them a specific grid location. Its permanently full smoking area, complete with flat screen TV, is a testament to the pub’s ingenuity in the face of the legal definition of «indoors» and«outdoors». Several of the barmen seem to be of Antipodean origin, which allows you to pretend you are in an episode of Home and Away.

Harry Byrnes is a delightful pub that offers a comfortable environment to enjoy drinks and company. The building is absolutely beautiful and the décor inside further compliments this pub’s atmosphere and feel. I have not eaten here but believe that they do serve food. The service I recieved at the bar was lively and polite. A definite favourite of mine.
