I’ve tried a few different hairdressers in Dublin and this one has got to be the best. First class experience. The stylist actually takes the time to listen to what you want and then checking back with you. And consulting you on the price(no nasty surprises at the end). In one visit I was treated to a scalp and hand massage then offered(amazing) coffee and cakes followed by a glass of proscesso. Highly recommend.

This is the second hairdresser I try since I am in Dublin: the first one, of a famous brand, was very pretentious, with stylists dressed like they have to go to a party that prefer stay sitted on the sofa playing with their mobile waiting for the next client instead of cleaning the floor, that was full of dirt… they simply didn’t care… disappointing. House of Colour is different. Very clean, from the entrance to the bathroom, and kind personnel who know its job. The colour they did is perfect and the stylist who did my cut, Bryan, was not very quick, as he is young and some skills come only after years of experience… but he is talented: give him more time and he will be remarkable! I have a particular cut, very geometric, and he refreshed it exactly as I asked. Last but not least: between all the salons I contacted(I suffer from psoriasis at the scalp so I look only for well known and secure tint brands) this is the cheaper one, and after the experience I can say that the ratio quality/price is very good, for a quite expensive city like Dublin… in any case, to get an idea, you can check the prices on their website! To reassume the review in one word: RECOMMENDED! P. S. May I say that HoC website needs an update in terms of design and contents?

Love this place! This is where you get VIP treatment! First time I had an appointment here, there were cocktails handed out in reception on arrival. Very swanky! No cocktails today but I did order a cup of tea(complimentary might I add) and it even came with a little mini chocolate muffin. All the staff are lovely and really make you feel comfortable and never pushy on selling you products. The chairs at the wash basin have a massage roller built in which is lovely. You get asked if you would like a complimentary hand massage while your hair is being washed and an eye pack while your head is being massaged. Nice! The salon is super clean and very well maintained. 5 stars to House of Colour on D’Olier Street
