I go here regularly with my family and we are never disappointed. Lovely staff, great service and delicious food! The classic tikka masala is the best I’ve ever had.

My friend and I were looking for something nice for lunch on a Saturday and walk past Indie Spice. Luckily my friend has been there before as I don’t think I would have been tempted otherwise. As the restaurant is on the first first floor there is nothing to see when you look through the windows of the door. And it didn’t look too inviting. But as I said: I am glad we went. I was very impressed my their lunch deal that they have Monday — Saturday. € 8.95 for two courses. Another reason why I was sceptical — it’s just not the typical price in Dublin. But I got very pleasently surprised. The portion was fresh, very tasty and sufficient. Whilst I’m not an expert in indian food I have it occasionally and found the balance of spices very good. We treated ourselves to a glass of wine. I went for Sauvignon Blanc and again was nicely impressed by the quality. Inclusive tip the bill came to € 15 per person which was a very nice experience being used to(but not liking) the Dublin prices. The staff was friendly and we were well looked after. So I’m sure I’ll be back. Oh, and not to be forgotten: I was very impressed with their«stair elevator» — sorry I don’t know the correct name for it. But to make is possible for wheelchair users or anyone with difficulties getting up and down those steps it’s a great alternative if there is no lift in the building.

We have only had take-out from here and it was good… not amazing, not in the same class as bombay pantry, but good and certainly worth having on your doorstep!

A reliable Indian restaurant. The food is tasty and well presented. The service is polite and attentive. The atmosphere is usually relaxed and intimate. In terms of value, there are some excellent value deals on offer here. A complimentary post dinner drink is always welcome too.

Upping Indie Spice to 5 stars is an easy decision — they have been consistently excellent, and the effect is showing. The place was nicely busy the last time we went along — making one of this wonderful Indians only flaws(the too quiet large dining area) disappear. The service is decent, not exceptional, but that is not why you go to Indie Spice. You go for the fantastic examples of classic Indian restaurant dishes — their Balti is nicely spicey, their Bhuna extremely tasty. I have yet to have a bad meal either via take-out or eat-in. The Naan bread, when ordered in the restaurant, is fabulous — perfectly crispy and so tasty(garlic is my favorite) and there is a mini sampler for you to determine which you prefer. In general I judge an Indian restaurant largely on the quality of the dishes I mentioned above and one other thing — the lamb. It is excellent in Indie, not fatty in the least, perfectly cooked. One of my favorite local restaurants by far, and I am not one to normally crave Indian food.
