Like other mentioned before, indeed a lovely Friday lunchtime treat. I only started going here this summer so I’m not sure yet, how it will be like when it’s colder so you can’t sit outside on the benches or on the green. But I’d say some people will stay around in the hall with the music(lovely atmosphere and even in summer great to have!), others will just get their food and go back to their offices to sit down there. Definitely a lovely variety of food and everybody should be able to find something they like and fancy. And with from time to time slightly changing stalls it should never get boring. I sometimes decide based on queues if I really want to join there or rather have an alternative choice.

I love this Market. It is very compact in size, but it has a great friendly vibe and chilled out atmosphere. Mainly frequented by the many office workers in the surrounding industrial estate, this market caters for a lot of tastes, from grilled cheese, to good coffee, schnitzel to pulled pork sandwiches. It gets very busy between 1−2pm and trying to find parking nearby is a bit of a hassle and it is all pay and display, no free parking at all. The food is a little pricy but you are paying for very fresh food cooked there and then in front of you and it is great quality and generous portions. On my visit I headed straight to the Gourmet Kitchen and chose a pulled pork sandwich with skinny fries and it was so good. The pork was so tender and juicy and the coleslaw a perfect accompaniment. The chips were cooked to perfection and it was a very reasonable sized portion! Overall a great market if you are in the area but best leave the car if you can.

Nice way to end the week! The market is open every Friday at lunch time except around Christmas. During the summer months you can sit on the grass opposite the market and soak up the sunshine(well, on those rare occasions that there is any) Huge selection of different kinds of food. Some of the regular stalls include Say Fish fish and chips(try all the sauces! Yum), Kanum Thai, Kerala Curry, burritos, bratwurst, burgers, raclette, duck and Dave’s pizzas. The stalls sometimes change slightly so there is always something new to try, although if you’re anything like my colleagues and I you’ll end up hooked on one place and get the same thing every week! Most places will do a half portion for about a fiver if you ask.

This market is a great treat for people who work in Sandyford Industrial Estate! Each and every Friday, hail or shine this market is open for business with plenty of food options to suit one and all! Most importantly its a great reminder that the working week is over! :)

I work in the area so this is a nice added addition to an otherwise typical lunchtime. There’s lots of choice but I do wish there was more seating and shorter queues — perhaps the long queues are a good sign though. It is a tad pricey but farmers market price wise it’s typical. Worth a visit for Friday lunch if you work close by

Fridays in Sandyford — finally there is some change on the menu! I am working in the area now and I am still spoiled from all the options during my time in city centre. The food isn’t that great. But on Friday there is the Farmers market and you can basically have everything what you want, healthy and unhealthy — everything is allowed. Pretty new is that they have loads of benches and tables too to sit out site in kinda après ski style if the sun is shining. Much appreciate that idea! See you next Friday :)

That’s the place which makes my week! Steaksandwich is awesome! All participants at this market are great! Everybody is really helpful and the most dishes are nice. I would not recommend the fried Asia dishes!

I come here every Friday at lunch as a break from the usual work lunch. I enjoy moving around the stalls, eyeing up the different food on offer. So far I have not eaten at the same place twice, which tells the great amount of variety on offer. If you work in the area, definately stop by.

Traditionally we take clients out on a Thursday night, which means that Friday morning can be a bit rough round these here parts. So, as a reward for actually dragging our sorry asses out of bed and into the office, we regularly make our way down to the Sandyford farmers market for some food. They have just about anything you can imagine from horse on a stick(seriously, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it) to Thai food and fish & chips — all of it very very good. Most dishes cost around the 8Euro mark but you can find wee crackers like the 8 chicken wings for 4 euro from the BBQ chicken stall. The market only takes place on a Friday — which is probably just as well for my rapidly expanding waist-line.

Its Friday lunch time, there is something about Friday lunches that are a little bit different to all the other work day lunches, you feel you deserve something nicer than you sandwich or salad or whatever you usually have. Well here in Sandyford we have the solution to our Friday cravings. There is a farmers market that sets up every Friday and for roughly a fiver you can get a yummy hot lunch! You can get Chicken Tikka or homemade burgers or bratwurst or Chinese noodles, sometimes there is pizza, you might feel like paella or maybe falafel, or maybe a lamb skewer… I could go on! The list is endless! All of these things come for around a fiver and they are worth every penny. At 12.30 every Friday we leave our office en mass and head to this market and then rush back to devour the market goodness that we just purchased! In the summer it was great because you could sit out on the grass beside the market and enjoy the sunshine with all the other office folk who emerge from their buildings at the same time. If you’re feeling very bold you can even have a non alcoholic beer from the bratwurst tent(I suppose it’s not that bold when there is no alcohol involved!). for those of you who require something sweet after a savoury feed there are always a selection of muffins or cookies or millionaires shortbread or brownies or carrot cake… again i could keep going! Yum yum!
