Wonderful dim sum snack for the wife and I on our first day in Dublin. Definitely recommend stopping in here for a meal as it was all wonderful and the other diners all were happy as well.

As a Chinese student who has been living in HK for several years, I’ve already fed up with either Cantonese dim sum or BBQ meat. However, when you’re thousand miles away from hometown and have no access to traditional dishes, you find yourself just desperate for them! God, thanks Kashing for refreshing my memory about my days in HK with absolutely authentic Cantonese cuisines! Don’t miss the BBQ meat, it might be pricy however wonderful experience worth your money!

Myself and some friends visited Ka Shing this week and it was spectacular. The first this about this restaurant is how opulent the décor is, but its food far out ways the view. There were 8 of us dinning and we all had something different. The pork and prawn dumplings were so tasty and my personal favourite pork stuffed buns blew my taste buds away. We had 3 different variations of the chow mien all of which hit the spot. The duck and mango had all out mouths watering. The tofu was flavoursome and cooked very well. The most visually stunning dish was the honey and melon chicken which can in half a melon and was spilling over the top with yummyness. The service was fantastic. The waiters were attentive but not over bearing and the bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend eating here and I will most definitely be going again

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Fantastic food could not fault any dish. There is a early bird menu from 3:30 — 6:30 which is good value. The main menu its self is a little pricey, but don’t mind paying for good food, so worth a visit.

I have to say, my dim sum expectations for Dublin were low… Luckily for me I’ve stumbled upon Kashing thanks to Tim L’s Unilocal review. The din sum is legit and freshly prepared. Everything is well seasoned and clean. Service can be a bit slow and the wait staff’s lack of English can be frustrating, but the food is excellent so really I guess it’s the price I pay for my Sunday Fun day dim sum fix. Most of the dim sum rarely costs over € 4.50 and between 3 people it’s around € 15 pp and € 40 ish for 2. Def get the greens and the pork dumplings yummmmm. The pork belly is out of this world too if you like roasted fat like I do!

Walking in, I thought I had inadvertently walked into Liberace’s living room, the place is gilt to the nines, palatial style, which isn’t my taste at all but I got over it pretty quickly. One plus side to the scale of the place, is that you can easily seat a group of 8 at a lovely round table down the back and can all see each other(conducive to good chats)! I ordered the steamed sea bass with ginger, a HUGE delicious fish cooked whole, head on! It eyeballed me the entire time I was eating, but it was gorgeous, well cooked and tasty. They’ll fillet it for you if you prefer, but I didn’t really mind. :) Friends who go here a lot swear by the dumplings, but I don’t really know what makes a good one, so can’t comment on them! They have a huge menu, but for the fish alone, I’ll be back.

Watch your orders! Went in this evening for the second time– waiters didn’t know how to enter food orders into their system and then didn’t give us all of the food we paid for. We ordered veggie chow mein, fried rice, pork chow mein, and dumplings. Got home to realize they didn’t give us the dumplings, or a receipt. As a side note, the pork is also extremely fatty… Don’t recommend.

I went there to dine with dim sum. Myself and my better half were in the mood to try different tastes and the small size of dim sums and the relatively affordable price would have given us the chance to try many dishes staying below 40 per person. The place was half empty and they welcomed us in very kindly. They set up the table and brought us water while we were given the time to check the menu. No dim sum in the menu. I could remember the dim sum menu was on the wall outside of the restaurant so I asked the waiter for the dim sum menu. The smile disappeared from his face and he rudely took the main menú from my hands and left me there without saying anything else. He came back few minutes later with the dim sum menu. He didn’t give it to me at first. He opened it in front of me pointing at items in the menu listing the dim sums that were not available. almost half of them. The tone of his voice was quite rude and I had the impression he was challenging me to order something. We felt really unconfortable and we decided to leave the place without ordering. Terrible experience. I won’t be back.

Last time I visited this restaurant it was called Millennium. Food was great back then. It has since had an extravagant Asian style make over. Ask for the dim sum menu when you call in here. The prices are fantastic and the quality of the food is amazing. 13 of us were here for dinner. The table was large, plenty of room and the staff were well able to cope with a large group. I would definitely recommend this Chinese restaurant.

Found this place after a long daytrip to Cliffs of Mohr. I was excited to see they serve dim sum, you just have to ask for this menu. We arrived later in the evening and some of the dim sum items weren’t available after 6pm… not sure why. Nevertheless, we ordered our usual dishes that we get in NYC and Boston Chinatown. We were very impressed about the freshness and taste, did not taste like it was frozen and reheated! Very similar to back home(Chinatown NYC) taste! Portions were traditional, soups were enough to share for 2. If you ask for the dim sum menu, you will find more of the traditional chinese dishes(stuff my dad would order for me). Highly recommended!!!

The perfect Asian experience! Brilliant and extravagant dinning room really gives the classic Chinese feel. Great selection and variety on the Menu and at excellent value too! Everyone at my table were 100% stratified(which is rare with my parents) Even the bathrooms where absolutely spotless! Can’t wait to visit again, one of the best meals I’ve had this summer!

I think this is the best Chinese I’ve had in Dublin. Four of us came here on a Sunday afternoon for Dim Sum, luckily we had Mr Tim L. to do all the ordering. We had a really great variety of dishes and they were all around the € 4 mark. I lost track of how much we had, but by the end I was stuffed and the bill only came to € 16(incl tip!). The service was very good two, the tea pot never ran dry ;-)

Great dim sum at reasonable prices(approx € 4 a dish) and friendly service, which is pretty unexpected in a traditional Chinese restaurant. The place has also been spruced up to look opulent, slightly bordering on tacky ;) Definitely be back for more dim sum goodies. For the uninitiated, order the har gow, siu mai, char siu bao and har cheong fun. No chicken feet surprises! You’re welcome. *wiggle*

would give it 5stars if not for one thing If their main selling point was true We came in specially to try the dim sum because we were told this is MSG free restaurant. Upon arrival we were told that there is MSG in all dumplings and lot of other starters we wanted to try, including simple salt and chill prawns. The staff was hones and upfront about the fact and was able to advise on good alternatives altho we have not tried the dumplings we came for. We had great Singapore chow mien fried squid and fried prawns. This just confirms that is hard or nearly impossible to get healthy Chinese food in this country. Anyone can make tasty food using MSG, inferior product will«taste» better using it but it takes experience and dedication to cook tasty without it.
