We all have different experiences when going somewhere shopping, particularly in my case at Kho everything went grand. Not only the first time i purchased an item but every time. Louise the owner is a great person and very helpful. The variety of items is perfect, you can find from a small pair of earrings to a nice big handbag. The place itself is small but is enough for what is displayed for sale. We need to be aware of two things before going there to pay a visit; the first is that the door is locked so you have to ring the bell to get in, and the main reason for this is for security. we have to understand it specially when a Lady like Louise is on her own working there. In one occasion I wanted to buy a purse but with a different design that the ones on display… with no problem Louise order the one i wanted and in a couple of days it arrived. i just got a phone call to go and collect it. I will never forget it because it was exactly what my daughter wanted so she was absolutely happy.

I was on my way to Vicar Street when I walked past this place. Had to stop and have a look inside! This is a nice boutique-style jewellery & handbag shop. Some of their stuff is a bit off-the-wall, but that’s what makes this place unique. The selection of jewellery is varied from dressy, to casual, and some would be perfect for fancy dress parties! Overall the prices are decent, and it’s worth popping in here for a browse — don’t be surprised if you find something here you were searching for and couldn’t find anywhere else!

Kho is a small shop that seems like a boutique but that has only some original pieces interspersed with mostly mass-produced items. The store features handbags of both real and faux leather as well as a tons of those evening bags that are so fancy it is difficult to picture anyone using them. You know the kind — brushed satin with some sort of pearl or rhinestone clasp. Major yuck as far as I’m concerned but hey, if you’re going to the prom or the opera or something, you’re gonna need a place to stash your lipstick and rape whistle. The jewelry selection is better than most shops of this variety, so thumbs up there. They also carry some fun feathered headdresses, which I thought were really cute. They were situated on a shelf just below some fashion statuettes and some wallets featuring farm animals, so the accolades can only go so far. I will say that I didn’t have the kind of experience with the sales assistant that Jo did — the gal greeted me and allowed me to peruse the teeny shop on my own, which I appreciated.

You know when you go into a store and you get the distinct impression that the sales assistant would prefer it if you just left? Yep, that was the feeling I got here. Needless to say, my shopping experience at Kho was less than satisfactory. My very friendly and helpful sales assistant was on the phone(to a friend) the entire time I was in the shop, and she threw annoyed glances my way every so often. I was determined, however, to remain in the store until I found something of some interest or value. Hmmmm… was there a little while, and not much popped up. Or maybe that had something to do with the dagger eyes being shot my way? I’m not sure, but I sure as hell ain’t heading back in there any time soon. The heavily discounted jewellery and handbags can go on someone else’s credit card…
