This small restaurant that seats just 14 people had a hard time serving that many. The food was ok. The fish selection is rather limited, featuring tuna, smoked salmon, and sweet shrimp for raw fish. The rice could have done with about another minute in the cooker. The hot dishes were ok. I liked their chicken gyoza. The shrimp kushiyaki was ok but not what I expected. Price was about 50 euros for two.

This is ony of my weekly stops for lunch. They have a tasty bento box that is updated every day. The sushi bento box is not worth it, just a few pieces and no miso soup. It’s good for sharing, but that’s it. Also tried their delivery and it’s amazingly good! One of the top japanese places in town! Don’t go to late because if can be very busy!

Horrible experience! 1 hour and half waiting for 4 dishes and each of them came separately so each of us had to eat alone while the others were watching. There were not many people but the girls kept taking orders from outside putting all the people in the restaurant on a wait. I’ve asked for rice without onions and my rice came with so much onion you could only taste it: I was afraid to ask for a change because of the ridicolous waiting time. And at the end of the day neither the sushi or the rice was so outstanding, just average so waiting wasn’t worth at all and the prices way to high then the average. Definitely a place I will never go again!

We had a voucher and I was looking forward to trying this new sushi place just off Pearse St. We got the chef’s selection which was served with green tea and free corkage for your BYOB. The food was okay but nothing special, I’m afraid. The service however was great, really friendly staff. I also liked the décor and the choice of Japanese music which reminded me of a Miyazake movie. This made the experience a bit more Japanese-y. The restaurant is very small so you need to either book in advance or be lucky to just walk in and get a table.

Best sushi in town. Nice Japanese atmosphere. Simple as that.

I used the Unilocal booking tool to book this restaurant for 14 people, only to be called the next day and told that it’s not possible to book for this many people, as the restaurant only has 15 seats. I’d understand if the tables were already booked, but I don’t understand what kind of restaurant would turn down guaranteed business like that.

Cosy and small Japanese restaurant with 14 people capacity. I would advice booking if you want your seat guaranteed(we arrived early on Monday without booking, the restaurant filled up really quickly). Food is tasty and fresh. Rainbow roll is 15.5(in some places in Dublin you get same quality and size cheaper), salmon and avocado roll is 9 euro, it comes out quite big. They have BYOB with no corkage charge, a great bargain. Overall I would come back again and advice to my friends.

Okay food. Great service. The resturant is very small so make sure you book a table. I used a voucher from Groupon so the food was very reasonable priced however a little bland. Our waitress was lovely. Very attentive. And it’s BYO!!!

Having passed by KuRaudo a few times, I was really looking forward to trying the sushi. The restaurant looks great, it really reminds me of restaurants from when I was in Japan. The staff are also very friendly, all-over there is a very authentic feel. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The salmon norimaki is a good size for the price(about € 8), however, I found it rather salty. I love soft shell crab and was really looking forward to the spider-roll, unfortunately I also found this very salty. The Spider Roll was under the«Chef Special Sushi Roll» which cost € 15.50, but I didn’t see what was so special as to justify them being double the price of the norimaki. On a more positive note I have to say the chicken gyoza was very good, even if the sauce was also quite salty. Overall, the food did not live up to my expectation. KuRaudo Sushi will not be making it into my top list of sushi in Dublin.

It was a good idea to make reservations — it’s a very small restaurant that seats perhaps 14 people at most. The appetizers came quickly; the spicy salmon roll was mediocre but the tempura squid was excellent — as was the chicken ramen I ordered; it was truly wonderful, although it took some time to come out(my husband was mostly done with his dinner before my order appeared; oddly, my husband’s miso soup also came out very late, even after my dinner appeared). The service was otherwise quick and friendly, and we had a great meal.

Just found this new Japanese restaurant, great location, small but quiet. We bought the 14 euro — twenty pieces sushi voucher, I think most people came for the same reason. The voucher is not that valuable but food is lovely and not expensive. The udon chicken noodle soup is my favourite. Hope they will have full meal voucher and more spicy options :)

Friendly staff, free green tea. I eaten the beef ramen and it’s nice. Is not like Japan but in Europe you really can get much better. I didn’t eat the sushi but it looked very nice. Worth to explore

I love this new Japanese restaurant! First thing I noticed, it has more authentic Japanese décor(eg: ‘welcome’ written in japanese at the door, koinobori(carp streamers) in the corner)… But it is quite a small place, as in when new customers come in the door everyone turns to look haha. So it’s intimate, and a plus it’s byob with no corkage fees!!! We ordered a random sushi selection and a rainbow roll. They were all pretty good, I recommend the salmon and cream cheese sushi, Californian roll and octopus nigiri. Wait staff were pretty prompt and quite friendly. I will definitely be back, as curry, ramen and other noodles are on the menu. And the bento looks pretty good too… Try this place, it’s great!!:)

Very nice place I came across while strolling through the city. Great sushi and starters — comparable with great sushi places in other countries. Food is made upon order and is very fresh. Small room, very cozy. Would come here again on my next business trip.

A hidden gem, Ku Raudo is a new Japanese spot that has opened up opposite The Long Stone pub. They’ve just opened so they only serve bento boxes and a(huge!) selection of teas. The bento was delicious on only € 8 — it’s an opening offer and I can’t imagine they will have the offer for much longer. The service was fantastic — it’s a must for anyone who loves bentos. It’s cash only for the moment, so bring cash!
