This review is for the macarons and hot chocolate as when we were there they hadn’t officially opened the café part but were kind enough to let us sit in and eat our goodies there. Firstly I should say that I LOVE macarons and Laduree really know how to make a good one. I opted for the pistachio and salted caramel ones and both were absolutely delicious, perfectly sweet and chewy! I also got a small orange hot chocolate, which was the flavour that day(it changes on a regular basis). The girl serving me was lovely and advised that as the chocolate was really rich it was probably best to start with a smaller size and this was a great shout as it was honestly the most indulgent hot chocolate I’ve ever had, really rich in flavour and thick in consistency. I don’t think I would be in a rush to get it again as it was a hit rich for me but great for chocoholics in need of a sugar fix. The décor here is classically French, with pastel colours and plush chairs. The staff are the highlight though and they will happily advise you on what to get. One of the girls was chatting away to us as we sat eating our goodies and explained that when the café part opens they will soon be serving some light, classically French bites to eat… seriously, where do I sign up?
