I tried dinner 30euro corse. I ate spicy lamb meatball and spicy prawn. It was delicious! My friends ate pork rib. Also it was nice. Staffs were very friendly.

I may of just found one of my favourite places in Dublin! It’s been running for 25 years now at this stage and my parents used to go there most weekends all those years ago, I got my first visit the other weekend and it was a very good one! The owner and head chef, Alex, is a really nice guy and he managed to find the time to come out in between cooking delicious curry’s and say hello to all the customers! The food, was so authentic and fresh and was really good. I had the prawn fritters to start(battered prawns with a sweet and sour sauce) and then the squid gulai curry as a main and it was fantastic! The squid tasted so fresh and the rice was very nice aswell! The sauce had a perfect spice and really flavorous taste to it. This is definitely worth a visit if your looking to go out to ballsbridge /town for dinner and want a delicious and not expensive Asian cuisine! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I am new to Dublin so bare in mind I do not have any comparison standard. The food was definitely tasty, with the right level of spiciness. What was off, in my opinion, was the portion size(too big), and the price(too high). I would almost suggest to share a dish in two people. Overall, it’s good, enjoyable food if your looking for Malaysian food in Dublin and do not mind paying a premium for it. 1 Beef Rendang + 1 Tiger Beer, 30 €.

I love this place. It’s that simple. My husband and I are regulars and this is possibly the best place to be a regular because the always lovely staff, and chef, will take extra good care of you. Given that half the customers are usually regulars, the restaurant at the weekends tends to have a lot of atmosphere. They cater to large groups very well. I had my pre-wedding dinner here. The menu is extensive and offers a decent choice of vegetarian options, but it is in their fish dishes where I think they shine most. Their John Dory stuffed with chilli sauce is almost always ordered. Their platter dishes are also very tasty. If you want them to adjust the spiciness of a dish, just ask. They will tell you plainly how hot a dish is and will cater to your tastes. Langkawi has a good early bird menu but, beyond that, dishes can be quite pricey. A main course with fish might cost you € 25 — € 29. Vegetarian dishes are considerably less. Their portion sizes are generous though. They also have banana fritters for dessert, which you just don’t get in many other places. Given that I tend to spend an entire evening here, I have always found it on balance good value for money. Did I mention they have a very good wine list? Tip: it’s not on the menu, and they don’t always have it in stock, but take a chance and ask for the fish head curry. It is quite possibly one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever had.

I’m really happy with the service but sad to say that was not that impressed with the food. I ordered the Nasi Goreng(fried rice with satay and fried egg); it wasn’t as flavorful as I was hoping and the chicken satay was a little dry. They did give us a complimentary vegetarian egg roll to start with which was a nice plus. Sad to say I probably won’t return.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. Either as a couple or in a group, we have always received the best of service and the food is fantastic. The staff and owners/chefs are very friendly and will always ask(genuinely) how the food is or in a few cases did we have enough! Although I have tried most of the dishes, my recommendations would definitely be the Bergedil(lamb meatballs) to start and the Gulai Ayam(chicken curry) for mains. Unfortunately I cant vouch for the deserts as I haven’t had any but have had no need to! Some of the dishes can be a small bit spicy so ask when ordering if that is not your thing. Prices are decent enough and they offer and early bird menu which has some good dishes on it.

After reading reviews for this place, I expected a lot more. Had the early bird special and got spring rolls and a vegetarian lentil dish. Spring rolls were excellent, crispy and flavorful. However, my entrée confused me. There weren’t any lentils I could see or taste, maybe some were blended into the sauce(which was spicy but without flavor). Some vegetables were throw in, but the whole meal felt like it was out together without much thought. My boyfriend and I agreed that it was OK, but not worth the hi prices. It is a shame because the staff was lovely and the restaurant itself is beautiful. But the food, just meh.

I had a very nice meal there last night. We shared a Gulai dish and another(I don’t remember the name) –both excellent and distinct, with a satay starter and an okra side dish. The waitress was competent, knowledgeable and chaming. The ambience is comfortable. We drank weiss bier– they could do with an asian beer maybe ?. The price was not cheap but not too bad.

Nice family owned vibe. After walking up and down Baggot street this was the place which caught our attention and surprised our buds. We loved it.

Malaysian cuisine is a relatively niche curiosity on the asian food scene making the long standing Langkawi something of a curiosity. The atmosphere in this pricey little restaurant is a mixture of cosy and classy making it a very comfortable place to have dinner. There’re a few cubbies to sit in and lots of golden eastern iconography around. The manager or owner is extremely friendly and helpful, and even though I haven’t been there often he seems to greet everyone you as if you’re a visiting cousin. The food is really spot on too, everything was really tasty but the monkfish I had was really, particularly good. Yep, an easy four stars here, I’m saving the fifth for the update I’m going to write after the next time.

I went to Langkawi(the restaurant, not the island) on the recommendation of a Malaysian friend so I had high hopes of super food. I was in Malaysia about 8 years ago and the food is absolutely amazing, I was very excited about a little piece of a Malay experience in Dublin. The owner was really attentive and took very good care of us explaining all of the dishes and he even said he’d order for us so that we had a good experience. For starters he brought us a variety of the starters so that we could try a few. These were nice although the deep fried ones were pretty oily. Not a hugely different experience from another Asian restaurant. The problem with the owner choosing our dishes is that I have no idea what I ate! The main course was delicious, I had a chicken dish in a hot and spicey sauce with rice. My friend had a lamb curry-ish dish which he devoured. We just had ice cream to finish off as we were pretty full at this stage. Bonus points for Langkawi because they had lassi which I absolutely love but you can only get sometimes, I had a scrumptious mango lassi. Yum.

This is by far the best malaysian restaurant in Dublin. Well established and fantastic service. As for the food, what can I say? I dream about their dishes. The best thing to do is go with a few people and order lots of different dishes because EVERYTHING is so tasty and moreish that one solitary dish is never enough. Being comfortable in a restaurant is a must for me and Langkawi’s soft furnishings make you feel soooo relaxed and comfy. However The cost just seems to be OTT, bottles of water that are on the table when you arrive are charged at € 5.00 each, coconut rice is extra € 4 on a € 24.95 main course. Where it was tasty the bill for 2 was over € 115 which only included 2 glasses of wine, so the price can be shocking!
