Not one of their biggest stores, as a result a smaller range of goods, gets the job done none the less!

I can’t differentiate this Lidl from others, yet. Haven’t been here too many times, but from couple of visits I didn’t notice any problems. Replacement worked out for me super quickly, checked receipt and off you go with the new replaced item. This Lidl is not bad, because there’re few other shops around there. Woodies DIY, see food store.

This particular branch is always ALWAYS busy despite the fact that there’s a second one just a couple of hundred metres up the road. It’s almost completely on par with every other Lidl(I suspect worldwide, never mind just in Ireland). I do often find however that there can be huge gaps in the asle where all the random textile/hardware/clothing can be. More often than not there’s half an asle of products missing from here. Possibly becuase they’re always selling out but I suspect because the staff are often to busy to pull more products onto the floor. Parking is not great either. & often people park on the double yellow lines outside the place, with no consequences either!

I like Lidl in general. I like their simple yet varied selections, they’ve generally a high minimum standard of everything, the stores are not so big they set your pedometer into overdrive and because of all this you can get in and out in no time at all. But unfortunately the Glasnevin store leaves my blood boiling after every visit. Then I don’t go back for ages and then I forget I’d any issues and I go back and on and on like Ariston. Why? Because the staff are all cranky, always! They act as though you’re an inconvenience, they huff and they puff, they make Tesco staff seem like employees of the month. They’re not helpful if you need to ask them for anything, you’re lucky to receive a response and don’t hold your breath waiting for a smile or eye contact at the till. I’m not saying staff in the other stores are master greeters but Lidl Glasnevin, as my Dad said to me on occasion growing up «smile and give your face a break».
