Food is overpriced. The chicken korma and the chips were very underdone. My boyfriend ordered a lamb dish, naan bread, chicken wings and pilau rice and said everything besides the lamb was tasteless. First and last time ordering from here.

Really good and pocket friendly option for a Sunday dinner. The staff is always fast and very helpful. We went there for a first time with my boyfriends flatmate who is Indian and great cook at the same time so if he recommends that place that’s means something. Last night I had MUTTERPANEER and KHEER for a desert. I was so full I couldn’t get up from my sit :-). Cheese was very soft and works perfectly with the peas and the sauce but wasn’t spicy enough for my taste, although I asked for medium spicy. My boyfriend went for selection of small curries served with white rice in the middle and flat piece of bread. I don’t know what’s the bread name but I really love it. Kheer is so tasty that I could eat 3of those if I’d had some more room. Overall 5 stars for great Indian experience.

Finding proper Indian food is always a challenge. However, I was highly satisfied with the result and spicy definitely means spicy(European terms, can live up to Indian mild spiciness). I enjoyed every single bit and the sizes are more than enough. I could just finish my plate.

Been there twice now and everything we’ve tried has been so so. The service was frustratingly slow both times. It took a long time to get seated then the server disappeared. Everyone there seemed to be overworked and have zero time for any of the customers. Indian food is my favourite and this is right next to my place so I really wanted to like it but wouldn’t return.

Ordered chicken jalferezi. No no no completely not at all authentic. Apart from dosa everything we ordered ended up tasteless. We sat so long for someone to serve us water. Once they do serve water they go down n don’t bother about customers sitting upstairs. The staff is not at all welcoming. 40 € wasted and non of my friends enjoyed the meal.

I used to come here a lot but haven’t been in for literally years! It’s not like I’m never in the neighborhood as I practically live in the cinema around the corner. Why haven’t I been back?(rethorical question) the food is so bloody good! I had the meat samosa which were spice and delicious and the portion is big. For the main I had the desi desi chicken with the hot curry. Again the portion size was massive, literally half a chicken and a portion of rice which would be plenty for two, the chicken had been marinated in lemon and some herbs then finished in the tandoori oven. The curry was spicy amd fresh, went perfect with the lemon infused chicken. To top it off a mango lasi. All of this came to the very reasonable price of 14.90. It would easily be enough for two if you’d another side and get another drink so a delicious meal for two for around twenty squids! I’ll defo be back… soon

The chicken has that rubbery texture and bleached white look that you unfortunately find in some restaurants. It did not have the texture of unadulterated chicken, and I’m guessing it is imported processed chicken. Neither myself nor my partner ate more than one piece. I’m not even going to review the rest of the meal, as the chicken was disgusting and off putting.

So this spot seems pretty alright. It’s literally around the corner from where I work so I popped in to get a take away because I was sick of eating the usual stuff and was in the mood for a decent curry. The only real issue I had with this place was the staff. I checked in before visiting as I noticed there was 10% off the meal but when I got there I was informed that it was only for students which wasn’t specified when I showed my student card the waitress mumbled smiled and walked away. It was only for a few quid so I let it lie. However if I was eating in here I could see serious issues arising with the level of service as I have also seen being an issue for previous Unilocalers who visited the establishment. Other than that the food was super tasty and only charged around 20 quid for a massive feast for myself and my colleague. Really tasty and not too greasy. Enjoyed the hell out of the lamb biryani and the masala dosa. Icing on the cake was the peshwari naan! All in all a good and hearty meal but I wouldn’t go to this place to sit in for fear of the terrible service I would receive!

This is definitely the best Indian in town! You can find out a gorgeous chicken Tikka Masala and fabulous dosas. Try them with a tasty mango Lassi. A must in Dublin!

I’ve been looking for somewhere that makes a good Dosa in Dublin for aaaages. Look no further! Madina do an unreal masala dosa with all the bells and whistles for only 7 euro. It’s an absolute bargain as it’s HUGE. Actually much bigger than the ones you get in India. It’s a hearty meal — not one for a low carb diet, yet it still doesn’t feel stodgy as there’s so much veg in there, you can just feel the goodness. The staff were friendly and approachable and the place itself is clean, tidy and spacious.

Great Indian cuisine. Reasonable prices. The hubs and I opted for one medium tikka masala and one spicy. Both enjoyed it very much. Rice is extra and much needed as there is plenty of sauce. We ordered one naan with shallots(not on the menu). Loved it! Ask for a side of their mint yogurt sauce, it’s excellent! Would highly recommend this restaurant. Not happy that they charge € 3 credit card processing. Not cool, guys! Location is great as its a 15 minute walk from the Temple Bar area. Mom and pop sort of restaurant with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Ambiance is a bit, meh but we weren’t there for the look. We were there for the awesome Indian Food.

Tucked away in the buzzing hub of Mary Street, near the shopping centre of Henry street, Madina is one of Dublin’s hidden gems! Serving generous, flavourful portions of curry and rice. Service can be a bit hit and miss but the staff are warm and friendly so you’d forgive most things! The interior is warm but feels a little like a canteen, once you get your food you quickly forget this though, and tuck in! The menu has lots of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, and its very reasonably priced. A great place to come for lunch or dinner before the cinema.

I heart indian food. I know very little about indian food: as in the different variations on curry and how southern India’s tikka would be different from North, East west etc. but gosh darn it I can eat Indian curry 4 times a week and be happy. My friend who is much more knowledgeable than I, came here and really enjoyed the food. No you wouldn’t really come here for ambiance but there is a nice family vibe to it, as this is where indian families come to eat. We ordered a bunch of stuff… I’ll just list the main attractions! the Dosa here is much better than the one at Ambala. The chicken curry… So good!!! The chicken was so tender and flavourful! The tarka Dal was I think my favorite dish! Such flavourful lentils! The lamb Karahi was very disappointing… Don’t get that. Overall I’ll definitely be back. The food tastes clean and not overly greasy or from a jar. It’s like a mom and pop shop for Indian food for me. And if I’m in town and want affordable indian curry now I know where to go!

Great food. You won’t leave hungry. Q staff member told me they have two kitchens. One for meat lovers and one for animal lovers.

I went back. It was delicious! Had the same meal as last time(brown lentil meal) and it was perfect! Maybe it was just new staff or something the last time, but this place is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to!

We started with veggi samosa that were not that great, not very tasty. Then we got our chicken korma and butter chicken currys that were quite good. Alongside we got cheese and coriander naans which were very tasty. We had also ordered some rice that was reheated, disgusting and tasteless. The restaurant décor is ugly. As the place is not cosy at all, you just feel like eating quickly to leave the restaurant. Nevertheless the staff is friendly. If you come here it’s for the curry that is fine.

I recently moved to Ireland from India and I had been craving for some good curry all week. Upon a friend’s recommendation, I decided to check out this place and I have to admit, they are pretty authentic for an Indian restaurant in this country. I personally loved the Naan and the Kheema. The Thali is very good as well!

Maybe it’s just because I haven’t tried this particular type of food before, but I wasn’t overly mad about it. I had the chicken tikka kebab. It was nice, spicy but not too spicy but didn’t blow me away either. Or it was just as I had thought we would go to a cosy restaurant which Madina is not. It is rather like a fast-food restaurant with service. Which is absolutely sufficient — if you hadn’t planned for something else. So I will give it another go to see how I like it then. But the staff was very nice and friendly for sure. Also. I had opted to a mango juice but as it turned out they had only half a glass left so I got it on the house. I got a Guava juice instead as well at that was actually very lovely. When we were in here 90% of the customers were from around Arabia which is a good sign to me — and their awards don’t come from nothing.
