If you’re craving a burrito, that should be on your list. They know how to mix flavours, burritos are simply scrumptious, the décor is epic and it’s just in the heart of Dublin — so basically you’re are a stone’s throw away from everywhere. Handy for a quick lunch, a laidback date or a quiet meet-up with friends

Had heard really good things about this place so decided to go for lunch. I got a beautiful burrito and really enjoyed it. The size was perfect amount for lunch. Also found all the staff really friendly, I will definitely go back.

So, Mission is this new fancy burrito place in town It’s nicely decorated and rest assured that even if the place has a hipster vibe to it, the product is much more solid than some«other places»(ahem) while not costing more because of it In the taste factor it’s really solid. A minor nitpick is that their spicy sauces are for kids(I got the Salsa Roja and other place’s softest spicy sauce is more spicy than that). But they have the tiny spice bottles there for your convenience(with real punch in them). They have the ‘Mission Impossible’ sauce on the menu so that might be enough to shiver one’s timbers I guess. They make you sit in these wooden spools and wooden rustic tables because of course they’re hip and fashionable and oh so cool.

If you haven’t visited the latest and greatest Mexican eatery in Dublin, wtf have you been up to. Mission is an absolutely whopper spot that has been flying under the radar for some time now. There are many things that make it as good as it truly is, but to simplify things, I’m gonna pick out my top three: 1. The food has been created entirely by a Mexican chef. You can really taste this authenticity when you’re eating it, and you can see the love behind it when it’s served up by the very man himself 2. Case in point — the salsas. I can’t remember how many of them they have, but they have a LOT. My fave would be the smoky chipotle one. Wow. My advice — go in, and choose your food based on what sauces you want. Or just go in and ask for all the sauces. All. The. Sauces. 3. Their massive window looking out on Liffey St. I could actually sit at it for hours. Talk about people watching. Remember too, it’s not just burritos! Venture beyond and you will be rewarded!

Great Burrito spot — Nice atmosphere, welcoming staff and one of the best burritos I’ve had recently. Plenty of space and a nice chilled out dining experience.

I feel like Mission doesn’t get the recognition it deserves in the world of Dublin Burritos! Town is pretty oversaturated so there’s plenty of competition, but Mission has managed to sway my attention away from the likes of Boojum of late. For one, it’s pretty nice to be able to walk in and generally not be stuck behind a huge queue out the door. This doesn’t mean that it’s not good, it just means it doesn’t have that same level of infamy that other burrito places *cough* do :) The burritos(along with the rest of their menu are actually very good and well made. Always fresh & tasty. You also get a free bottle of water if you check in on Unilocal which was a pleasant surprise! Definitely worth giving these guys a go if you like burritos and you haven’t yet!

There are so many burrito joints in town these days. However, I do think Mission offers something different to the others. The food here feels more authentic than a lot of the other places. I have had the burrito and burrito bowl here and the ingredients are great, super tasty. The serving size is a bit smaller than some competitors(Boojum…). I think there are more options too, such as corn tacos and quesidilla. The staff are very friendly, service is good and prices reasonable(about € 6,50 for burrito).

Nachos supreme– basically nachos with meat and toppings. I really liked it! Sitting out in the sun eating tasty chips topped with cheese sauce, spicy mince and beans, Great guacamole and all the trimmings. My only complaint is that when I asked if the nachos were corn or flour the girl serving had no idea and showed me the bag to check! I’m sure that the gluten question comes up a lot and that it would be better if they knew the answer! Not the most gourmet of meals but tasty, light, quick and in friendly environment.

This guys(and Leo) are up there with Hugo and Café Azteca. Amazing burritos, a fantastic selection of meats(the regular chicken with the beef barbacoa combined is my favourite thing to get, the freshness of the citrony chicken mixed with the slightly salty earthy full flavour of the beef is just delicious) and a very generous veggie portion for the non-meaty moods or eaters. I popped in here first in late May and within a week was back and bought TWO burritos, one for then and one for later. I have never bought two burritos in one sitting nor have I ever had more than one burrito in a week until I came to Mission so I really mean it when I say they’re amazing. All their options are delicious, even their bbq and chipotle options, flavours I usually find can be a bit icky tasting in restaurants but not so here. Burritos brilliant. Selection of spice range fantastic(Dangerous mission with a dash of Mission impossible is great but I would recommend some guac to cut through the chilli), their extras like red onion, green or red jalapenos and their lettuce are all really fresh(well besides the jalapenos which are pickled… but you know what I mean). Staff are BRILLIANT! The owner, Leo, is so nice and friendly and really passionate about his food and the staff are always friendly, engaging, and they’re happy to let you try out their different salsas before you commit fully to any one in particular.(Oh! Their pico de gallo is just heavenly. And their coriander rice!) The selection of everything is great, the portions are really generous and the prices are very very good considering the quality and quantity you get. Plus they do a GREAT lunch offer of a burrito(ANY burrito!) and a coke/diet coke/7 up/water for € 7 which will fill you up til late evening. The only complaints I have are that occasionally the music is a little bit too loud inside which makes conversations a bit difficult if you’ve mild hearing issues(but this can result in hilarious misunderstandings), however the music is very good and really works with the Mexican ambiance of the place, you might find your hip doing a little dance without you realising. and secondly, it closes a bit too early in my opinion(8pm) but I understand that the staff need sleep(!) The appearance of the place, the staff, the food, the coffee, everything about this place is just great. I would REALLY recommend Mission.

I hate to give a bad review for my first review, but I’ve got to be honest. I was on my way over to Boojum last Sunday evening and arrived at 6.10pm. D’oh! Rookie mistake. It closes at 6pm. I had a terrible hangover that I knew a burrito bowl was only going to cure. I quickly remembered reading about Mission Mexican Street Food and it was only a 2 minute walk away. Perfect! Unfortunately, the food was anything but. Firstly, the good. It’s a good sized eatery, which seems to be an ongoing problem with most mexican restuarants I find. The place has a nice blend of hipster inspired mexican art adorning it’s walls. I noticed a variety of bottled sauces(ranging from the mild n’ tasty to the extremely spicey n’ mind blowing!) on the tables too which is always a welcomed touch. The staff greeted me with a smile and were more than happy to help me pick out my two meats of chioce.(Yes, two meats! I was hungover!) I went with the burrito bowl — or box in their case– consisting of chicken and beef, lime and corriander rice with salsa verde. They also let me replace the beans with the veg option which I appreciated. Of course it’s not a true burrito bowl without gaucamole and jalapeños too so in they went too. Both were extras I might add. And now for the bad. I decided to mix all the ingredients up, as you do and unfortunately what I was left with was a tasteless, watery, lifeless grave of what should have been the highlight of my day. Perhaps it was the time of day I ordered my food at but in this day and age, that shouldn’t be an excuse for poor quality. Both meats, while having a very slight hint of flavour, lacked any real punch. The chicken produced from more water than I cared for and the beef was far too chewy. When asking for the salsa verde, he scraped out what was left of the day which probably amounted to no more than a tablespoon. They either should have let me know that they had very little left or else change it to a fresh container. The gauc could have been very tasty but with all the water and bland ingredients, they hampered the flavour I feel. Far too much lettuce was also stuffed into the box. The last thing you want when you’re hungover is a salad and at times, that’s what I felt like I was munching on. When the tastiest item in the burrito bowl are the jalapeño peppers, you know you’ve got a major problem. At € 9.80, this was probably the most expensive burrito bowl I’ve had, although not by much but still, what a major letdown. I’m giving Mission Mexican Street Food 1 star. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location/indoors were welcoming too. Unfortunately though, I wasn’t there to make friends nor to sit in, so when the food majorly under delivers, what we’re left with is a 1 star review. It pains me to say that I’ve nothing good to say about the food. As I said before, perhaps it was the time of the day I went but knowing there’s much better options around, I won’t be giving them a second chance.

Second time here, first time review! Love this place. Feels properly authentic with a great choice of meats(I went for chipotle chicken) and great value. I plumped for a quasadilla and a can of 7Up. 7 squids, happy days! I love me some Mexican and this place along with the obligatory Boojam are two of the best IMO. Nice décor and great range of hot sauces if that’s your thang.

DAMNFINEBURRITOS! When the burrito craze in Dublin first came about with opening of places like Boojum I developed a severe burrito addiction. I don’t know how many times I dragged my girlfriend across the city just so I could get by burrito fix. Recently, the Mexican food trend in Dublin has begun to decline and with it the quality of burritos. The old great places like Boojum and Burritos and Blues are just not what they used to be. My burrito habit began to wane as the burritos available grew in their levels of mediocrity. That is until I went into Mission today. Ive fallen off the wagon. Already, I crave another one. Mission is a very cool looking place. I love the stencils and the sugar skull motifs. I got a braised beef burrito with lime rice, black beans, «Dangerous Mission» salsa, a healthy dollop of guacamole and some cheese. The dude was really nice and friendly behind the counter let me try the salsa before I committed to it(I was feeling«delicate» from the night before and was unsure if I was in a state to be eating spicy: P). The burrito itself was fantastic; liberal amounts of meat, beans and guac. The lime rice was tangy but didn’t overpower. The beef was juicy and well marinated. It was tender and delicious. My one complaint is very minor. The burrito was popped into the oven before being served which was nice, but it heated up the guacamole. This isnt that bad but I do prefer my guac-a-mole slightly below room temperature. The salsa was nice and hot, just how I like it. Pretty sure I could taste habanero peppers in there. While we ate I spied another customer’s order of nachos which also looked amazing. Lots of chips, salsa and gwock. I will definitely be ordering the nachos next time I go. All in all Mission is a fantastic burrito place. Great food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. Everything you would look for in a burrito place: D

Thoroughly recommended; the food is great! We were walking about the area as the restaurant we were going to go to had posted a sign on its door and was closed for renovations. Not knowing the area we just walked in circles trying to find a place to satisfy us. In the end we gave up on a full table-service restaurant and we were glad we did as this gem of a eatery was everything and more. The art inside is really good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and, most importantly, the food tasted great too! My nachos had just the right mix of topping and wasn’t a gluggy mess as I have been served in other places. My partner’s quesadilla was perfect as well. Food is take-away or there is some limited seating to eat in; as we did and admire the décor

So many burritos places in town. Need to try them all! If I can… So, I have been there twice — first time for the Burritos in the Buff Unilocal event. That day I had a burrito and I only reckon it was good, not too spiced and consistent. This time a went there for a burrito again, but while queuing I saw someone passing by with a beautiful plate of tacos. So, yeah, I changed my mind. Tacos it is. They serve it in a plate with four tacos and you choose the fillings. I had a mix of meats: beed, pork, chicken and chiplotle chicken. They were all delicious, especially the pork and the chicken. The price was OK, 5.50 but the drinks are expensive and they dont have a good range of options. Plus they did not inform the prices of the beverages(Maybe I didn’t see it??) Anyway, I paid 3 euros for 300ml strange juice that I didnt like it. I would def go back there for tacos /burritos but I would ask about the beverages options.

Here we are again, another so-so«build your own» burrito joint, a la Boojum, Tolteca, or Saburritos, a far cry from the mouth-watering authentic Mexican food the name«Mission Mexican Street Food» seems to promise. It’s so disappointing to me that Mexican food in Dublin only seems to take 2 forms: more expensive establishments such as 777 or Acapulco, or the same mediocre, unimaginative burrito bars in all their repetitious forms. Yes, I know authentic Mexican ingredients might be hard to source in Ireland, but if you’re not going to do it right, I’d prefer you didn’t do it at all. Furthermore, at Mission Mexican Street Food, they charge € 1.50 to add peppers/onions to your burrito, which is basically a crime as far as I’m concerned, and € 3.50 for a shockingly measly side of guac and store-bought tortilla chips(we’re talking maybe ¼ of an avocado involved here). The chicken in my «bare burrito» was overcooked and unnecessarily greasy. And unlike at Boojum, you’re not even able to wash down your underwhelming burrito with a faux-Mexican desperados, as they don’t sell beer here. On the bright side, the unique décor and reasonably friendly staff save this place from being a total loss, but I’ll be sticking to Little Ass for all my burrito needs.

I’ve become a bit of a burrito addict over the last few months so when I saw a new place opening I immediately pounced at the opportunity to check it out. Let me spoil the rest of the review for you when I say ‘wow!’. Yes, that’s a very good ‘wow!’. I walked in wondering if it would be as good as my other favourite burrito joints. First up for scrutiny was the look of the place, top marks. Really cool artwork on the walls, quirky seating that didn’t try too hard and top notch tunage made my walk to the counter an easy one. I was greeted with a warm ‘Hi there! What can I get you today?’ to which I replied ‘I’ll be honest with you, I’m addicted to burritos and this is my first time here so I’m totally open to your suggestion, what’s best?’. A few minutes later I found myself sitting down staring at a barbacoa burrito ready to tuck in. I’ll skip the messy details but let’s just say I finished it like a pro(portion size was absolutely perfect, you know that portion size that fills you just right and doesn’t leave you walking hunched over with your hand on your stomach, yeah, that portion size). It was SO good, and I don’t use full caps words very often to describe things. As I left the girl behind the counter asked me really nicely, ‘how was your food, did you enjoy it?’. I told her I gave it ten thumbs up(although I only had two thumbs on me at the time). I returned again on New years day(I was literally the first person they served in 2015 which is pretty cool) and again my experience was great. These guys have the burrito game down. Mission accomplished.

Haven’t noticed this place on Liffey Street before so as soon as I saw a new burrito place I was in! I went for the slow roasted spicy beef, lots of additions to choose from and the girl was really helpful and explained everything. The burrito was delicious and packed full so I was staffed afterwards. There’s lots of condememts on the tables so you can add some extra spice or flavor if you like. The place is cool with seats and tables made from industrial leftovers, this could be my new favourite burrito place… I’ll be back!
