It is a wonder why Motion Picture is still going strong after all these years and at this stage I am convinced it is only because of the small amount of people that visit it, most likely tourists and people that do not know that there are other clothes shops around besides this hell hole. Obviously this isn’t the only Motion Picture in Dublin but they are all the same — small behind the times clothing outlets that have been around since before I was born. The only good thing about Motion Picture is the fact that everything is cheap and can be bought for very little money. However, in this case it is a sign of very bad taste and there is a reason why these clothes are so cheap. On another upside though, if you root around you can find some good clothing but you really do need to root around. Most of the clothes in here are pretty awful but will probably bring back a sense of nostalgia for most of you that used to go to clubs wearing bleached out jeans and multi coloured braids in your hair.

«Motion Picture still exists» says I with my mouth open in amazement! I couldnt believe this place was still going… they are the dark horse of the clothing industry… however i found the clothes they have on offer to be the same clothes i had seen years and years ago when i last ventured inside. Now to say they are behind the times is little harsh. I think it is unfair to ay that a store that doesnt sell what is über fashionable is behind the times, because they have a lot of what I would consider cool… so if motion picture is unfahsionable… then so am i… Ah crap…

Yawn. I agree with what the other reviewers have said about Motion Picture being a little bit behind the times… but I think that’s kind of making an excuse for the fact that the clothes they sell here are uninspired and just kind of there. Even cheap can be relavent and exciting, but it’s like the buyers for this store haven’t even tried. They were just kind of like«whatever, I’ll take it» when it came time to selecting stock. That being said, there might be some decent and inexpensive finds here in the way of jeans. And props for not being a store entirely full of clubwear, like most of the stores in Ilac. But the overall audience this store is aimed at is teenagers. They sell fluorescent knee socks and Twilight t-shirts so. You get the idea. I would just skip it if I were you.

Motion Picture is a clothes shop for people who really don’t care that much about how they look. There’s nothing wrong with being someone who buys clothes for function and not style, but there’s very little aesthetically pleasing about these clothes. They’re not even good quality. You won’t get much wear out of them but the low selling price kinda makes up for this. The one thing Motion Picture does have going for itself though is that it has really cool graffiti on the changing room doors. Hey, I’m trying to be positive here.

Motion Picture is one of those cheapo shops where you can buy basic items like t-shirts for next to nothing. The overall style of the place is a decade behind so I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone interested in fashion trends. When I went in yesterday, the shop was selling men’s jeans with big white fades on the front and back. The looks for women were equally as bad. There were dresses with big tacky roses on it. This particular style came in the colours red or blue. I didn’t see anything that was wearable so I’m going to give Motion Picture a one star rating.
