I love musashi, I’ve been here so many times and every time I leave happy and satisfied. The staff are amazing, so lovely and friendly, and super efficient. Never a long wait for anything, really the staff here are perfection! And the food is always perfect. It’s really affordable and they they do byob with a corkage fee. Everything I have eaten here has been delicious, I usually get sushi. They do some really good lunch specials too. I really can’t fault this place, not even a little bit. Keep up the great work and I’ll continue being be a loyal customer forever :) I should have typed this review long ago, better late then never.

My fiancé and I had dinner at MUSASHI on a Monday night. It was excellent! We arrived around 6 p.m., and we were seated right away. The overall atmosphere and quiet, relaxing ambiance was amazing and pleasant. We ordered the Ebi Gyoza(for the of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a Japanese Shrimp dumpling) as a starter, and they were delicious! I am from Los Angeles, and we have a great selection of food from many different places, and authenticity is not hard to find either. I have been having trouble adjusting to the less-authentic ethnic foods in Dublin(Europe in general) but MUSASHI tasted SO Good, and exactly how some Japanese friends of mine back home would cook em up! As a main course I got the Ya Sai Yakisoba YUM!!! AND My fiancé had the Tuna which was cooked extremely well, and the plating was gorgeous! The staff were very kind and attentive, whenever either of us looked as if we were slightly needing something they came our way immediately. MUSTTRYMUSASHI! :)

Oh I love the food there(and in their sister place Zakura on Wexford street). The norimaki are always fresh, and they do a mean tempura. As long as you remember to book and avoid that little table for two that’s right at the entrance on the left… you’re in for a treat. It gets loud at the weekend but it’s worth it.

I used to frequently get take out here because I lived closeby. musashi offers pretty decent food, decent service but overall a bit pricey. A few times my shrimp tempura did not come deveined, which is a big Nono for the item and the price. Good for dine in or take out, it’s spacious! Sushi and sashimi is great, as are cooked dishes. I’d come here for an expensive sushi fix. If you’re from North America, you will not be happy about the prices.

Delicious Japanese fare, and well-priced. We’d heard it was the best in the city and it did not disappoint.

Amazing and fresh sushi. One of the top 5 places in Dublin for Sushi — however the restaurant is really small and busy and you usually need to make a reservation if you want to eat there. Which is a pity as I am more of a spontaneous eater.

Fantastic food and very good value for money. Friendly staff and nice decoration. Amazing Ebi Gyozas, Tina Teriyaki and Beef Yeriyaki. So far, the best japanese restaurant in Dublin.

Loved loved loved Musashi. Went for my friend’s birthday, I had never been there before but I have a feeling I will be returning. quite often. There was six of us so we thought we’d order different plates to share… good call ’cause we got to try several dishes. Everything I had was absolutely delicious, I coudln’t honestly pick a favourite: the tempura and the gyoza(probably the best I’ve had in Dublin) were so so good and the sushi and rolls too. The staff was also very friendly and nice, we got served pretty quickly too considering how busy the place was. When we got our bill I couldn’t actually believe how little we paid. It came to about € 24 each, including tip and a bottle of nice wine, which is AMAZING considering how much we ate(really a lot, we actually didn’t get to finish everything!) and the quality of the food. The restaurant is quite small and the décor is simple but the atmosphere is very cosy, making this place perfect for a meal with friends. No complain whatsoever, hence why the 5 stars rating. Great food, friendly and chilled atmosphere and really fantastic value, if you like Japanese food this is definitely your place. I think this is probably my new favorite sushi restaurant in town. Tip: It was very busy when we went, and apparently it usually is, so booking in advance is a good idea.

Went to Musashi for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The staff are super friendly and kept asking if we needed anything but weren’t too in your face. Lunch specials are only € 8! So worth it! The Chicken Raman was delightful and the soup was incredibly tasty with a large portion of chicken. The Katsu Curry was also delicious however the curry sauce itself was a bit generic and weirdly reminded me of one you might get in a 3 in 1 and didn’t blow me away too much which is the only reason I’m not giving Mushashi 5 stars. It came with pickled veg that was beautifully presented and tasted great! Also we brought a bottle of wine with us and it is only € 6 for corkage so well worth it if you feel like brining a bottle along for a meal!

Reeeeeally good! The sushi is wonderfull, the fish is always so fresh and smooth. I personally love the Ebi tempura masago and the salmon nigiri. Those are always a good choice. Also the Salmon tepanyaki is very tasty and the perfect amount. Definitely one of my MUST in Dublin. The only thing is that it is not very big, so if you could, book a table so you won’t have to wait ;)

Musashi is by far my favourite Japanese restaurant in Dublin at the moment. Their food is amazing and very well priced for such a high quality. I normally get the sea food cha han with a salmon and avocado norimaki. Usually comes to about € 20. There are other Japanese places in Dublin where the same order would come to about € 30. You can also bring your own wine but there is a corkage fee of € 6. They do a lunch menu during the day which is even better value again. Musashi’s sushi is where they really shine. Every thing I have had here as been absolutely fantastic. The freshest cuts of fish. The rice is always perfect; not too sticky and gooey, not too hard. The portions are always very generous too especially for the price. My only complaint about the place is that it gets a little too warm in the restaurant, but that’s not that big an issue at all. If you are looking for a nice Japanese meal this is your place. Places such as Yamamori boast a bigger menu and other things like fancy cocktails, but Musashi’s food is of similar or better quality at a much lower price.

Shocking front of house behaviour. Rang and booked a table, arrived on time to see an couple being given our table to finish their coffee. Manager and staff were totally unapologetic and uncaring. Upset my wife and I unnecessarily

For me, the best Japanese restaurant in Dublin. Friendly staff and great value for money. My favourite dish is Gyoza(pork dumplings). They are delicious, I highly recommend them ;-). It is a small place, so book a table if you are planning to go at the weekend, specially in the evening. Another great thing is its BYOW(€ 6 per bottle).

Musashi was a province of Japan, which today comprises Tokyo Metropolis, most of Saitama Prefecture and part of Kanagawa Prefecture. Today it’s a Japanese restaurant in Dublin. And a good one! Super friendly staff. Almost too friendly if you ask me. The food is great. I ate something with… surprise, surp… rice. Yeah, something with rice. Sorry, don’t know what it was anymore. But I give it 5 stars so it has to be pretty darn good right? It is!

I absolutely love Musashi! Seriously reasonably priced for Japanese food in Dublin. They have a good selection of sushi & hot food, including three vegetarian main dishes. I particularly love their Cha Han and Tofu Steak with teriyaki. The food is delicious, wholesome and the portions are very generous. I recently came here with a group of 8& we were very well looked after! Staff are all lovely and welcoming. Also worth mentioning is that it’s BYOW with a corkage fee of € 6 per bottle. Desserts are super cheap ranging in price from 1 euro(yes, really!) to about 4. The 1 euro desserts are a single scoop of any ice cream or frozen yoghurt flavour you fancy. The perfect size after having one of their massive main portions!

If you are looking for good Japanese food in Dublin, Musashi is one of the best. They have a wide selection of sushi for you sushi lovers out there and are not unreasonably priced so if that’s what you’re after, with a few branches around town, Musashi is a great option to dine at. For me, however, the main gem here is that they serve Gyoza. As someone who is pretty much obsessed with Asian style dumplings(or just dumplings in general), this is a good find. The selection of Gyoza they serve is limited, and even with two portions it wasn’t that filling, so if you also like your dumplings I’d recommend ordering this along with another menu item, such as sushi or what not. That said, the Gyoza I ordered(one prawn one and one vegetarian) were absolutely delicious! Not only that, but while most Japanese or Chinese restaurants I’ve found in Dublin only serve steamed dumplings, this place also does pan fried dumplings which is my preferred style so very happy with that. In sum, good range of different menu options, prices are on par with similar places and if you harbour a secret(or not so secret) obsession with dumplings as I do then you should definitely go here and try their Gyozas. You won’t be disappointed.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere was busy and friendly, a slightly hipster clientele which I always like. I had the vegetarian udon noodles and my sister had the salmon teriyaki. My dish was very nice if a little standard, a lot of sauce was on it but the tofu was nice and crispy. My sister was happy with her salmon but the salad that came with it was covered in wasabi sauce which wasn’t mentioned in the menu and she’s not a fan of wasabi in the slightest. Staff were friendly and attentive, would go back but I’m not in a rush.

Excellent restaurant japonais !

This is my favorite sushi place in Dublin, by far! They have really good sushi for very reasonable prices. The place has a cozy feel, small enough to be intimate but big enough to fit groups. I haven’t tried their other foods, but their vegetable fried rice is great. I think they serve beer only, and everything else is BYOB. They have another branch in IFSC which is much bigger, and does collection/take away.

Came here for dinner and I’d have to, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Dublin. The sashimi was so fresh and succulent, and the sushi was perfect with just the right amount of rice; they didn’t use a whole fistful of rice that you can’t even swallow in one bit. Besides sushi and sashimi, they do the best Gyoza! Not burnt or too oily, and theres 4 varieties(prawn, chicken, pork or veggie). Tempura, noodles, hot mains like teriyaki fish, tofu, and sides like edamame and miso soup also feature on the menu. The interior is quite Japanese like in decoration which was nice, and the place gets packed on weekends for lunch and dinner so its always safe to have a reservation if going on a Friday or Saturday. The service was top notch! Staff were very polite and attentive, checked up on us regularly and were overall great! Overall no complaints! Will definitely come here again for some sushi!

I love parts of the meal and am a bit indifferent on other parts of them so the review will be broken down as follow: Service — Excellent, friendly with timing of «military precision». Tempura — Proper tempura batter(not panko) which gives it a light but crispy coating, best I have had in Dublin. Gyoza — Very good with lovely ponzu dipping sauce. Sushi — A bit of a let down but perhaps I’ve been spoilt by J2’s fantastic sushi creations. Cha han — The fried rice was made with fresh lovely ingredients but it was not seasoned at all. We all had to add soy sauce to the dish. Value — Very reasonable… it came to about € 22 per head, including a bottle of house white shared by 3. Definitely worth a visit but be sure to make a reservation!
