Beautician was very unprofessional. I was 5 mins late and she wasent going to take my booking. I was having girlish extensions removed. She remarked«how bad they were» and said they were«awful». She filled them down in a rush due to her next customer coming in 20 mins. A few of my nails had broke and she refused to do anything with them said«she wasent touching them» I was made pull off the tip of my own nail as she wouldn’t do anything about it not even file it. She was grossed out when I said id pull it off yet she wouldn’t file or cut my broken nails. I found her very unprofessional and rude. When I was told it was € 25 for removal I thought that’s ok because I would be getting a manicure after. No. She removed the gel extension by vigorously filling them down and not soaking them in acetone. She then left me with broken nails all different lengths. I had to leave due to an interview but I was not a happy customer. I then had to go give myself a manicure. I’ll never recommend this place. Horrible serves buy a rude«beautician»

I live really near here so I come here often since it’s easy to get an appointment and is not crowded, quick and the service is good. There is usually only 2 or 3 girls at work here, and the manicures I get always last quite long and are done really well with massage, clipping, cuticles, buffing, filing and polish. They also let you pay before the treatment I find is a good idea and what every other nail salon should opt for. The staff are nice, they don’t really talk to you or anything, but I prefer than anyway. There is a TV at the back always showing a movie, last time I went it was The Devil wears Prada, which helps pass the time. They don’t do all those luxury spa pedicures and things you would find at bigger salons since this is just a booth in Jervis, but if you’re looking for a quick mani, then it’s good. They also offer 20% discount on appointments before 11am.

I really like this place. It’s a good mani-pedi place at reasonable prices, where you can quickly get your nails done while you’re shopping in town. There’s 4 girls who work there(3 at a time) and they are all really good. They also have a loyalty card where you get one free after 10 times. They also do pedis behind the counter, the space is small but it works. I am giving this 4 stars as opposed to 5 because I like the ability to sit in a big chair and relax during manis and pedis, and this place isn’t for that. It’s not a bad thing though, they give you what you need quickly, well, and at a good price. Make sure to always get an appointment because they’re usually quite busy.

As my sister is graduating in a couple of day’s time(I’m so proud!!) so I decided to treat her to a Shellac manicure in the Nail Bar upstairs in the Jervis Centre. There were three nail techs on duty when we arrived and we were seen quickly. My technician was nice, but very yawn-y and sigh-y, I asked her if she’d had a long day, and she replied that she’d only just started, but was just«kinda knackered», which isn’t really what you’re looking for! That said, she was really good, there were lots of layers to paint and in-and-outing of under a UV light and she did a great job, my nails are so cute and girly today, I hardly recognise them! Plus it’s supposed to last a fortnight, so hopefully that’ll work, usually my nail varnish chips after an hour! :-/ My main gripe is that they don’t have a dedicated receptionist on-board, so if anyone has a question etc, they have to interrupt your manicure in order to speak to one of the staff… I was left while my technician went to sell a guy a gift voucher… The Shellac set us back e30 each, which is what you’d pay in a «real» salon. Our nails looked fab, and the tech my sister had was really nice, so it wasn’t a bad experience, but it’s not a salon experience, if that makes sense? They have a 20% discount on Thursday evenings til the end of September, which would be good value, as long as you don’t mind people gawping at you while you’re getting them done and potentially being interrupted by people making appointments etc. No frills, but gets the job done.
