i walked into the establishment with bae and never in my life was i greeted so beautifully by Daniel M. He almost made waiting at the waiting area an event, His man bun sexy to the fullest pedigree; Bae and i were sat at the waiting area, bodies warmed by Daniels excellent customers service. We were enjoying our first few moments in the establishment when we noticed that the other customers had been seated before us … we then realised that Daniel M did not favourite us any longer. Feeling unloved and forgotten we were soon seated. Baes booty requires special attention due to fact that it was crafted by God himself, but when she sat on the couch; it was almost as if nandos were trying to destroy Gods work. Once we were disappointedly seated, Daniel M rejoined us and the longing love of Daniel Rejuvenated back into our hearts, «Have you been to Nandos before» his words hit us like when the peri peri milk of a peri peri cow hits the bucket. We guiltily told Daniel that we had not popped our nandos cherry. He explained the basics in such a quick precise manner and left us to fend for ourselves. Body shaking, Bae confused, The Knives of the kitchen created a soundtrack for us as we looked at the menu; we were struck with thunderous confusion … the choices mixed with the aroma of chicken excited our taste buds, while discussing options with bae, we both came to the conclusion that this… oh this… this shall be a cheeky nandos indeed. Choosing two half whole chickens each; hot for myself and medium for bae, we chose the sides that we felt had the most potential, Garlic bread, Peri Peri chips and Corn, Mmmmm, I can still taste that Peri peri chips. Turning our menu to the back, baes eyes lit up like ive never seen before, one word she whispered«alcohol», hello? yeah, she wants to say a few words Hey, yeah this is bae — As i set my eyes on the beer section of the menu i was disappointed by the choices, Let down, i was pushed to settle for«super bock beer»… yeah so im gonna give it back to him now. bye. I walked up to order, and my god was this the worst experience of my life«barlic Gread, with paru paru sauce, corn and 2 large chickens please» were the first words out of my mouth, Stuttered with embarrassment i pulled myself together, Ordered everything and sat down as fast as i could. Bae and I, we’re normal people, okay? but when one has to stand up and collect their own cutlery, then thats another bad review for another bad day. The variety of music was so tasteful and mood setting that bae and i proceeded to perform our own special medley of violent lyrics over the sweet serenade of Nandos Salsa music but the music could not stop what was about to happen, Kevin hart knew… he knew it was about to go down. As the meal was coming to an end, we were interrupted by an outrageous scene erupting beside us it was clear that the two female customers had beef with a male customer. Unaware at the beginning what the beef was about, we soon discovered that an act of unintentional racism had occurred; not wanting to get involved the male dragged me into the conversation«these two its like they’ve never seen a brown guy before» i nodded uncomfortably as he spoke those words to me regarding the two females. and then it went crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy; Daniel M returned trying to stop the fight but the man did not back down «eat your food, You need it» he hurled at one «you’re fat, look atcha, you’re fat» he hurled at the other. «stop looking» bae whispered to me, but the peri peri chicken was beautiful food for the front row seats to this Saturday night beef, all in all the girls were racist. and they did not finish they’re peri peri chicken, as they left in a haste from the embarrassment caused to them, I had fun, Bae had fun, we went home and had some hot peri peri fun of our own ;) x

If chicken is your thing Nando’s is your place and if you like to spice up your palates Nando’s is definitely your place. They have a good variety of chicken and different levels of PIMENTA !!!(which means chilly in portuguese) if you are feeling adventurous you should put all of them on your plate with your eyes closed and go for it. I really like that you order yourself and pay at the till which makes everything more efficient. They have free refills on the drinks which I love and I guarantee you will need it if you followed my advice about the pimenta ! If you cant stand any kind of meat or if you decide the eat chicken is cruel or you are just in a moment of healthiness they have an really good veggie menu, i would suggest the veggie burger my favorite.

I had no idea what to expect at Nandos. I was only told that some dude from One Direction loved Nandos, and since we were in Dublin, we needed to live that experience. Walk in, they seat you, give you menus, then you go to the counter and order. When your food is ready they bring it out. Lots of chicken options. You do not get a lot for what they charge, but what I got was good. Free refills on fountain drinks. They seemed kid-firendly, with crayons and coloring pages.

Love Nandos and wish they come to Japan! When I was in London I used to go there so frequently. It’s not a British or Irish but worth to visit! Stuffs are soooo nice and friendly:) ナンドスが日本に出来たらいいのに。。

This restaurant has the most generous staff I have ever met. We arrived in Dublin from San Francisco less than one hour before, having just gotten off an 11 hour flight and getting familiar with driving in a née city, on the opposite side of the car and road! When our car broke down outside their restaurant they let me use their phone to call AA. Next, they gave us a seat by the window so we could watch for the tow truck. The food was great, just the right amount of spice. Lastly, when we were about to pay, they told us that it was on the house because«you are having a bad day.» I would recommend this place to anybody looking for honest, respectful service and great food.

Everyone loves nandos! Great chicken, great atmosphere. Never a disappointment. There’s something for everyone here. If you haven’t been before, it’s not your standard service restaurant. You have to go up to the till to order your food… even though there’s lots of waiters, that’s just how it’s run in there. You can’t really go wrong with what you order. Sides are also good — the chips and peri peri salt, so addictive! Make sure to get a loyalty card if you go here often.

Get a loyalty card to earn free chicken. Students get a free soft drink. I always whine about the price but I can’t resist the chicken pitta with halloumi and pineapple with a side of piri piri chips. And in reality it’s not *that* expensive, it’s just my prejudice against chains shining through. I like the choice of sauces that you can bring to your table. I get my chicken«medium» and then I can always heat things up a bit more with some of the sauce bottles. It’s good on a day you want something predictable and tasty. The wing roulette is fun but last time we did it we couldn’t figure out who got the one with the«suicide» level of spiciness. Surprisingly good veggie options for a chicken restaurant. I am a fan of the beanie pitta as well on meat free days.

Nandos is good for a causal dinner and I enjoy that they run differently than your normal restaurant. When the order was placed they brought the food to the table and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and atmosphere of the restaurant. With that said, I left one star off because I think the food could be a little better. The chips(French fries) were bland and I ordered a side salad but the salad dressing was not great. I would still go back and try ordering other things next time because I do like Nandos!

Nandos is theoretically no different from McDonalds and burger king and Starbucks and any other of an endless list of multinational companies with countless outlets each about as unique and individual as a plastic fork. It is however, immediately unfair to throw them in with McD’s or BK — I don’t mean to suggest the food is in any way comparable; Nandos is far superior, but you take the point — big chain, lots of stores etc… We wandered into the Andrews St diner with nothing more in mind than getting some chicken and chips and were greeted by the expected friendly staff. what we didn’t expect was the size of the place nor indeed the décor, lighting, ambiance and styling — it is spectacular! My sister who is a furniture designer spent half the meal telling us how important and surprising the furniture in the restaurant is — by all accounts it is something special to the professionals — to me it was just really nice and comfortable. A trip to Nandos should not fee like an occasion, honestly though, this place does — it was a huge and very pleasant surprise.

I’ve loved Nando’s ever since I first discovered it in London circa 2004. Haven’t had it since 2005, which was the last time I was in the UK. As soon as I realized there was one in Dublin, I made sure it was the first meal I had here. I really wish they would expand to Southern California. We could use some Nando’s on the West Coast. Fools out there don’t know what they’re missing!

I love this place. This location was my first time trying Nandos. It did not disappoint at all. My mom ran into fellow Filipinos on the street and she asked them to recommend a good place to eat. They recommended this place. Seen this place in Australia and all over the Middle East but hasn’t tried it yet. First off the place was crowded, which is a good sign. My mom, husband, and I shared a whole chicken with 2 sides. We decided to get Mango marinated chicken and 2 sides, Garlic Bread and Cole Slaw. Nothing disappointed and a refreshing Cider to wash it down. Staff was really helpful and explained the ordering process. I give this place 2 thumbs up

I had the butterflied chicken(medium spicy) with the mashed sweet potato. Quite good though I found the chicken slightly dry(which may be the standard). However, after the other incredible culinary experiences I’ve had while here, I have to give it 3 stars… Very friendly and helpful staff — especially for newcomers. They clearly explain the ordering process and check in frequently once the food’s arrived. Lunch(on the ground floor) is a counter order process then they cook fresh from there. I’d be interested to see how the upper floors work /evening service.

On our last visit, we were waiting around half an hour for basically pre-cooked chicken and chips. In fairness to them the chicken is tasty, but at the end of the day it is still just pre-cooked chicken and chips. € 17 for 2 tiny chicken breasts, 2 small chips and a coke. Unless your planning to drink a bath of coke, its just not good value. Staff are polite however.

If I had rated this place a week ago, I would have given it four stars. I love the food, and you can get tons of it, choosing how spicy your chicken is, and what lovely sides you can have with it. It is a really lovey meal which I indulge in at least twice a month, but it is not quite worth five stars. So what is the fifth star for you ask? It is really about their costumer care, how they treat the regulars, and the graciousness of the staff. It was Friday night and I headed down with one or my closest friends for an girls night/early birthday thing. Charlie, the assistant manager and the person who seems to take my order every time I go in, and I made our usual small talk and I made mention of how I am job hunting and getting ready to move, because my visa is up at the end of Oct and will more than likely not be able to find a job to sponsor me. So what does she do? She gives me a voucher for my favorite meal as a token of appreciation for my patronage over the last year or so. It was such a sweet and thoughtful thing to do. It makes me feel valued as a customer. Always important in an economy like ours, where it really is the little things which sets you apart from the other guys and keeps customers wanting to support your biz. Well done Charlie and the rest of the crew at Nandos!

nomnomnomnomnom I love nandos delicious and spicy! I’m a veggie and they have a veggie and the beanie option can be a burger, pita or something else. The veggie is not my cup of tea it is crazily meat like, I mean I had to ask the waitress if it was meat, I was assured it wasn’t and ate it… albeit suspiciously. The beanie is FAB i love it soo delicious!!! mash potato is the best although very small portion:(but I’m obsessed with mash. Overall a delicious experience!

I first discovered the Nando’s experience 3 years ago as a student in Middlesborough. Perhaps it was the company I was with, but clearly something about that time was good enough to spark the desire to drag a friend into Nando’s Andrew’s St. today for lunch. The interior was spacious and clean, with a cool relaxed ambiance. We both decided on the half-chicken with spicy rice and corn on the cob. For those who don’t know, Nando’s is practically self service; you order your food at the counter, grab yourself some cutlery and fill your own soft drink, which means you don’t have to feel guilty if you don’t tip afterwards. Considering it cost € 16.50 with a Sprite, I definitely wasn’t tipping anyway, even though the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food arrived almost before we’d sat down again, but I suppose it wouldn’t take long to plonk some pre-heated rice and chicken on a plate. I had the peri-peri sauce on mine, but in all honesty it was bland. In fact it was the most uninspiring, run-of-the mill chicken and rice dish I’ve ever tasted. I cannot for the life of me imagine why I bothered visiting this place again. Clearly the memories of my past visit to Nando’s in Middlesborough are muddled by a drunken student haze. Nothing but mediocre, over-priced chicken that you could buy at a pop up stall in Funderland for € 6.00. Oh and I musn’t forget the 3-flights-of-stairs trip to the bathroom!

Finally decided for a bite to eat after an event earlier in the evening. Went in with my husband, it wasn’t full, but we ended up sharing a big table with another couple(one couple on each end). That was sort of okay. When my husband went up to order my beanie burger with fries, and whatever he ordered(I can’t remember), he felt the girl at the till was really pushy about extras and flustering him with all kinds of sides and add-ons. Hence my surprise with a pineapple in my beanie burger(I like pineapples, by the way). He was pretty annoyed with the pushiness and I’m wondering if that sales tactic is legal or not. When he saw what he had to pay for, he had a feeling that the food would be mediocre. Well, mediocre would mean it still tasted ok, this was not ok. The portion of chips was miserly, it was only fried once, given its palor colour. Chips/fries should be double-fried for crispiness. The burger was okay, nothing to shout about. My husband was really disappointed with his burger and chips, more so than I was. One member of staff asked if everything was okay(naturally being Ireland, we said yes) and she asked if we wanted more chips. We declined. When we were finished our«meal», another member of staff asked if we are okay and asked to take away our plates, whilst offering us an option of tea/coffee. Normally this is fine, but I was in a middle of a conversation and was rudely interrupted, and he said it in a pushy way, as if we need to clear off as we are finished our meal. I didn’t feel welcomed at all, the service was poor, the food was poor. The only thing that was high was its price. And it was definitely overpriced, around € 15 a head. Should have went to a gastropub, or a build your own burger joint, or even Eddie Rockets. I was a fan of Nando’s from going to them in UK and Belfast in N.I., but the Irish outlets are not doing it for me. The one in Dundrum is so-so as well. Maybe we caught the staff on a bad day?!? I will not be visiting Nando’s in Ireland again. /rant

«Most people try the medium on their first visit.» We are spicy food people, and immediately opted for the ‘hot’ sauce. It did not disappoint — just enough heat to bring out the tangy and peppery flavor of the grilled chicken. Sharing a half chicken and salad provided just the right amount of food, accompanied by bottomless soft drinks. The Mediterranean salad was excellent with an abundant portion if fresh greens, feta and stuffed olives. The sides and desserts looked appetizing, but will have to wait for our next visit. Nandos is a fun place with a friendly and attentive staff. Interesting art work and World music make for a nice atmosphere. Decent prices add all the more reason to go back. I am glad to see more quality ‘fast casual’ dining in the city centre, and am adding Nandos to our regular repertoire.
