I came in here to get a sim card for my phone after moving from overseas. The girl was very helpful in explaining everything to me since I had never used a top-up system before and made sure everything was working for me before I left the store. It’s a relatively sizable place and has all the accessories you could want. I was actually surprised at how friendly the girl was, as I usually expect less than friendly on major streets like Grafton as they get burned out and act like they don’t have time for you, but not here.

Just popped in on Saturday to buy those clear plastic yokes for my iPhone. Now I’m useless at putting this on without getting hundreds of tiny air bubbles. Thanks to a very pleasant and helpful assistant who willingly took on the task for me with friendly banter and most of all no air bubbles! It’s pretty rare, in my opinion to find a service person who goes beyond helpful but makes your experience fun and you remember them and want to come back. I’ll be back!

The O2 Shop on Grafton Street is recurrently under-staffed, something I find totally exacerbating. The shop is located on Dublin’s busiest and most recognized street. Put that together with the fact it is selling products made by a trademark brand name, that which the majority of mobile phone, iphone and internet users in the country subscribe to it just baffles me how the service within the store is practically non-existent. Even the queuing system in place is erratic. Something formal should be introduced to ensure customers are able to stand in line without compromising the space of the other customers who are merely scanning the walls and shelves looking over the products. If you are one of the people merely shopping and not queuing up to speak to a shop assistant then the sheer wish to glance at the products should not involve as much agro as that which this shop’s unsystemized queuing system consequently makes it. Having to squeeze past queues to get up close to a product on the shelf makes for a very tiresome time. I resent having to give money to any corporation that sets up such objectionable places of customer service… or in this case customer disservice.
