Odeon Charlestown

How lucky would you be if you’re a massive film nerd and have a kick ass new cinema open up right next door to you? (Well, more or less around the corner — but still a short distance for a popcorn engorged adult) — the answer to that is very lucky indeed.
This fancy cinema has a host of screens, of which I’ve only seen the biggest ones seeing as how Deadpool & Star Wars have been the only flicks I’ve seen there. I imagine when the existentialist, oscar-​nominated foreign language film arrives, you won’t have quite the same neck strain if you don’t buy your tickets in advance. Best thing about the place, is the glamorous picks of all our favourite Irish Celebs, like Saoirse Ronan, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gl– Saoirse Ronan.
The ticket/​food queue can be a little slow, but they have gorgeous oily, heart-​attack inducing butter and deals on everything if you’re a student. There’s a little bowling alley & mini arcade attached if you fancy reliving your early teen years after your film.

Lovely new screens and building. The screens are split over two floors, the only issue is there is only a toilet on the top floor could do with a toilet on the first floor too. The seats are big & comfortable with plenty of room. Good selection of sweets & drinks. There is a bowling alley and games area beside it so good for kids. Plenty of parking.
