Burritos I have ordered the Cali carnitas: slow cooked pork, fresh long-grain rice, black beans, grated cheese… with sour cream. The pork was really tender, perfectly cooked. The burrito was creamy and very tasty. I got it not spicy. it was perfect :) Will definitely recommend this place. Very good take-away. Lovely staff, smiley :) Très bon burritos juste à côté du resto Chez Max

I got the Sonny San Diego(chicken) Burrito Bowl and it was bland. I don’t eat salsa when I’m out but usually never have a problem taste wise with burritos or burrito bowls. The rice was soaked in liquid from the meat, the beans were put in first so they got suck in the ridges of the to go box and wouldn’t budge, there was no lettuce which I suppose could just be my preference in a burrito/burrito bowl, the portion was much smaller than that of competitors and the rice was super hard. That aside the staff were friendly, service was quick and the chicken was tasty but a strange texture. I have eaten in the Temple Bar branch many times and have never had a bad experience there so I definitely recommend Pablo Picante, just not this branch!

Need more guac and less nacho chips. I will have to try out one of the burritos next time.

Wanted to give it 5 star, but changed my mind because of no tissues in the take away bag, it was a disaster to have the super spicy wrap with no tissue…

Amongst the wide open space of 131 Baggot Street, on a little corner, sits a teeny tiny establishment selling burritos. So teeny tiny that there is a small bench in which to sit and consume your burrito, and an even smaller area in which to queue. Though small on size, Pablo Picante is big on flavour. I bought a super Picante Victorio Verde for approximately 6.50, and it was so delicious I had to stop myself from sucking the tinfoil afterward. You get to choose how spicy your burrito is, so if you’re like me and like to spice up your life ala The Spice Girls, you’ll want to go for the super picante salsa. Prepare to spend a good twenty minutes panting from the inferno raging in your chest and mouth, if you do decide to select this option, and please do not try to be a hero and ride it out. You will eventually have to buy that can of Coke before you innards succumb to third degree burns, but believe me, it is all totally worth it.

I grab lunch at Pablo’s every couple weeks or so when I have a craving for Mexican(and couldn’t be bothered walking the extra 5 minutes to Little Ass Burrito on Dawson). They’re ok for fast food — quick, efficient and friendly service with generous portion sizes and plenty of salsa options to suit every heat preference. I always get the«super picante» salsa, and it has a really nice kick. What I don’t like is that they don’t seem to bother to drain their meats, and my burrito bowls often come sitting in a pool of liquid. I understand that there will be some juices from the salsas, etc, but this is literally swimming. Where it’s all coming from is a mystery…

Great little burrito joint. Almost there regarding matching California burritos. Size fluctuates a little — sometimes you get a whopper and feel great but other times you get a wee one and feel a little hard done by. I feel the burritos are also a little expensive and that they should be a euro less at least. Really glad to have them around though. I wish they did nachos and quesadilla also

This is an industrious little space. They really have used every inch to its maximum and its a very smooth running machine with all the staff working in what looks like burrito harmony. The queue moves quickly, so if you are a little claustrophobic during a very busy lunch hour you wont have long to wait. I went for the Beefy Barbacoa with Picante sauce. It was good and the sauce had a lovely slow burn. Although I might try the Super Picante next time to see if I can manage it. The burrito itself is massive, very good value for 6.20EUR. And there was lots of beef. Compared to the last burrito place I’d tried, there must have been twice as much beef in it. Alas I wasn’t able to finish it, which is not a bad complaint. But I did end up in a bit of a bloated food coma. A good feed and value for money. Recommended.

I wasn’t expecting much, being so far from California and so close to Temple Bar. The burritos was amazing — warm throughout, spicy, good flavors and a just crispy enough tortilla, without a hint of soggyness. The staff was super friendly too.

After finishing our study abroad course in Spain, my boyfriend and flew over to Ireland for our last few weeks in Europe. Throughout our whole visit, all we craved was some Mexican food like what we eat constantly back home in California. After some failed attempts at finding decent mexican food in Spain, we were hesitant to try this spot. I ordered their vegetarian burrito with the hottest hot sauce on the menu. Boy, was I surprised. Their hot sauce is HOT. The food was good, not quite like home but still good. I would def. recommend this place!

I am a big burrito fan, Boojum for life! This was my first time coming to Pablo Picante and I was impressed! I ordered the Senior Slim burrito and it was unreal. You realy could taste the quality of the ingredients and I really like the way they use feta instead of just cheddar. The 5 euro student lunch deal is hard to beat as well! The burrito was a decent size but im not sure if its as big as a boojum burrito. Pablo definitely trumps tolteca, just much better quality. I think I need to have a proper showdown between pablo picante and boojum before I can ecied between the two

One of my favourite Burrito joints. They are super tasty, not overly expensive and really fast. I love the burrito in a bowl which in so many places is a real let down — they pack it full of rice and lettuce along with the usual fillings. The salsa and marinades are really good so the food is all very tasty.

Very fitting that my 300th review be a Mexican food restaurant claiming to do Californian style Mexican fare. Oh… it’s in Dublin but I think they got a few things right. Great price for the quantity. Great sauces and salsas. Good variety. I ordered the chicken burrito, standard. I decided to get it the third level of spicy. Half way through I was ordering a water. The ingredients were fresh and while I almost thought I wouldn’t finish this massive beast burrito I managed. Definitely would stop by if you’re across the pond far from your favorite Mexican restaurant and in the mood. Staff is very friendly.

I was delighted to find that there’s a branch in Temple bar now — near Elephant & Castle. By some distance the best burrito in Dublin. A friend from LA recently declared them equal to anything available in his home town. Mind you, pints had been taken but still. The Beefy Barbacoa with Chipotle Crema is delish.

I have tried many different burrito places in Dublin but found this place off Baggot street to be an outlier. I really enjoy this particular location as one of the better places in Dublin to get a Burrito. You have to appreciate that this location off Baggot street is a take away only location. They do have three bar stools(which always seem crowded) and I read online they have a larger sit down place somewhere on the north side but this place being very centrally located in the Dublin 2 vicinity. Service was quick and friendly and they have a very easy to understand menu. Basically pick your meat and pick your salsa. I am sure you could customize further if you desired, but I stuck with the Beefy Barbacoa and one of their medium range spicy salsas. They go all the way to a very creamy mild salsa to a very very hot salsa. I went with the Beefy Barbacoa and my wife had the Carnitas. Both were really delicious.

The idea itself of bringing some Californian taste to the sunshine and burrito deserted land of Dublin seems to deserve 5 stars, however, I’m trying to focus more on the food here. The Good: + quality burritos + fast and friendly service + not too pricey for DS(Dublin standards) Yes, you can get a decent burrito take-out experience in Dublin, that’s the good news. They offer a whole range of burritos you would also find in one of the endless joints in Cali. I tried the«Sunny San Diego» and didn’t really miss anything in particular. Good stuff! The Bad: — only a few seatings(4 or 5) — limited selection — no breakfast burrito(okay, that’s my personal favorite) Totally recommended if you’re craving for a decent burrito around D2 and D4!
