Pamela Scott is like a cheaper, tackier Next. The clothes are aimed at middle-​aged women (though they’ve tried their damnedest to coax in the younger ones) who like very staid office wear by day and a little sparkle and cerise pink by night. There’s plenty of cheap accessories, though few if any are worth a second look. It gets jammers around Christmas with ladies looking for a nice frock to wear to the office party. NOt my cup of tea but they have 14 branches around the country so they must be doing something right. Oh and they’re Irish too, and that cannot be said of many clothes chains these days. Extra star for that.
