Popped in here last Saturday for a cut and blow dry. Didn’t make an appointment… was just an off chance request. Was bucketing rain outside so the place wasn’t to busy. Receptionist was friendly and told me to take a seat in reception. The reception area was not up to scratch. The white chairs are all scruffy and marked. I picked up one of the magazines and a large clump of dark hair fell out… totally gross! Washed my hair… that part was fine. The hair cut wasn’t to bad but I feel most of the hairdressers in here good do with learning how to smile not scowl. The blow dry was sore! She pulled and yanked my hair so much I couldn’t wait for the experience to be over. This place needs a lick of paint and a proper clean to remove hair from all the mirrors and corners. Maybe a steam clean at the end of the night would help…

Asked price before, Made an appointment, went there, had cup of coffee. The price that I asked was 80 €, highlighting full hair +student discount.

The Best. I am over eighty and wash my hair myself as I have problems with my neck. Jennifer is a great hairdresser. How about a discount for over eighties who like to look smart

Really like getting my hair done here. They really look after their customers. I get my highlights done here… I know, shocked I’m not au natural! They advise you whether to get full or half head etc without shoving the most expensive one down your throat. I find them so friendly and polite. I have two hairdressers that I use and they are so chatty without being false. They actually take and interest in what you are saying. They ask you the next time ‘how your ski holiday was?” «Or where you going to a wedding that your ex was at?» Pleasantly surprised that they remember such details. Your filled with coffee and the head massage at the massaging wash basin is a treat. The price includes 20% off all year except Xmas so it doesn’t break the bank too much. I feel relaxed as I used to hate spending 3 hours chatting to false people who have no interest and feeling really awkward. Go people!

As I needed a trim rather than a short haircut, I decided to go to Peter Mark and use up a Christmas gift voucher instead of going to my usual place. I find shorter haircuts more demanding than longer ones so I figured I’d take the risk. The hairdresser who did my hair was really nice and was quite receptive to my request for a restyle. She was not, however, gentle, and my scalp did feel slight the worse for wear after it. Her comments were hilarious though. I told her I was trying to grow my hair and she assured me that ‘I’d be like a mermaid by the summer!’ She sorted out my layers and all that. After a few days I washed and dried it myself and it hit home — my new haircut is ‘the Rachel’ That’s right Unilocalers, I’m trendy like its 1995! Overall I think it was fine, but I think Peter Mark is still quite expensive for a haircut these days — 49 euros for a cut is steep.
