Yea 100% with rob here… there was something of a surrender to the Euro when we had the chage over and all the pound cities and pound land and pound stores changed their names to some stupid thing like«Euro crazy»… Poundworld has held its ground and maintained its dignity… and now it has paid off because it has now the only store in the city with the name Pound World and eveyone knows what and where it is… its perfect… they are gettin five stars… even though i really dont like what they sell… but i say no to Lisbon and Yes to Poundworld

There’s a small corner of the Ilac centre that is in a constant loop of the year 2001. That, or no one told this particular wallet friendly hotspot that we switched currency seven years ago to the euro. Ah, I’ll be honest, I flippin’ love the fact that Poundworld is still called Poundworld. I can imagine the owner said to himself«Well it’s called Poundworld and it’s not fuckin changin» in 2002. Poundworld is great value if you want to pick up some crappy sweets or crisps or general household utensils. I got two disposable barbeques and a set of screwdrivers all for a fiver a few days back. I think I may have given one of my friends salmonella, but my IKEA coffee table is lookin great!
