What a cute place! Very small place but there was room for a party of 7 when we were in there just come early.
I ordered the veggie breakfast that had eggs, beans, tomatoes, etc. it was perfect. I loved every bite.
Of course the name mentions tarts and the back of the store is a dessert case with tons of tarts, muffins, breads, scones, etc. I wanted to try something so I ordered a raspberry scone to go.
Even hours later when I ate it, it was insane good. The girls who worked there were so sweet and nice.
And that’s all I have to say about that.

The perfect café to start your Dublin day out. They do a fantastic breakfast menu. I had the full Irish, delicious hash browns, hearthy sausages and rashers all washed down with a nice cup of tea. It feels great to feel fancy.

Cake = Yes! However prepare for the food coma afterwards… These are the champion of all cakes, large portion of total yumminess!
Café is small so not always sitting available however on a nice day, you’re not far from some amazing spots to sit and enjoy Dublin, e.g. Christchurch Cathedral, St. Patrick’s Park, etc

I come here from time to time and it consistently delivers tasty cakes and scones and nice hot chocolate and tea~!
It’s a lovely café for a date or just hanging out with friends, I would always recommend this café as a place to go!

My girlfriend had done some looking into Q.O.T and fancied it one day based on all the good reviews they had received and because, well, they sell cake! Who doesn’t like cake!
We went in for lunch and needless to say the restaurant is busy! Any table opening up very quickly fills up.
I chose to have their frittata and wow! Mind blown! It was amazing! Packed with so much flavour! I really couldn’t recommend it more if you go here.
After my girlfriend had finished her soup (seriously… Soup) we decided to share a very chocolaty pecan pie tart slice and again, wow! So tasty! Not sickeningly sweet, just enough. It was almost like having a brownie/​pecan tart.
Now you wonder why after loving the food I only give three stars? Service. The service really was shocking. Once we had been seated we were passed over and over again before being approached to take our order. Once the order was taken, our lunch came… Well mine did. I was almost finished when finally my girlfriends arrived. It was soup… How can it take so long?! Once all done, we again were ignored. We managed to have a table pay up next to us, have the table cleared (here’s my plat… Oh ok bye) have the same table reseated, their order taken and their order delivered and still we didn’t get a look in. After much eye contact, signalling and eventually going up to the reception desk, finally we got service again.
It’s a shame really as their food and cakes really are amazing but very poor service can’t be hidden by a smile and friendly personality for long.

I came here on my hunt for Irish soda bread and there’s was definitely the best bread I tasted on my trip! I got the wheat bread and it had a seeded (caraway?) crust which I especially enjoyed. Very hearty and filling, and even approved by my 2 year old nephew.
I also got the Guiness chocolate cake which was definitely tasty but did not have much of a Guiness flavor at all. My brother got the carrot cake which I tasted and enjoyed more than the chocolate cake, though it had a distinct lemon flavor which made it more airy and light. Also tried the Easter cupcake which was incredibly filling though nothing special. The linzer cookie was very buttery but did not have much jam.
Definitely pay this place a visit if you’re a sugar addict like me, but your best bet may well be the soda bread :)

What can I say that has not been said already.

Tarts are AMAZING and very flavorful. They are also unique with a large selection.
Food menu was minimal but everything I tried was excellent.

Yum yum. Just look at the cakes! What’s not to like??? Although I came here this time not for the cake but controversially the savoury food! Tried the veggie breakfast and it was yummy. Marking it down as scrambled eggs were microwaved and a little too hard for my liking but otherwise tasty and jazzed up a bit by some fab relish.
Should have taken a cake home…

This is another one of my absolute favorite places in Ireland. Their location is small and cozy, and they have delicious breakfasts, teas, and scones.
This is a must-​visit for a fantastic breakfast in Dublin.
(Try the raspberry scone!)

Queen of Tarts es un lugar hermoso que se encuentra en pleno centro de Dublin. Esta especie de cafetería/​pastelería/​salón de té es realmente encantador, chiquito pero alucinante, onda que una vez que entras en este lugar te sentís como en el cuento de Hansel & Gretel.
Hay que decir que todo es muy bonito y rico, por cierto. Un local ideal para ir a desayunar/​merendar que está lleno de cosas dulces por doquier. Tuve la suerte de probar un chocolate caliente ¡con malvaviscos! y un roll de canela y manzana y todo fue genial, fresco y delicioso.
El único inconveniente es que el local es bastante chiquito y al ser tan bueno se llena bastante, pero solo hay que tener suerte o paciencia que realmente vale la pena, encima la atención es muy buena. En fin, vayan a Queen of Tarts que de seguro pasarán un agradable y delicioso momento.

Avant dernier jour à Dublin, et il fallait absolument passer faire un tour chez Queen of Tarts!
J’ai pu enfin déguster un Irish Breakfast accompagné d’un bon thé chaud dans un cadre très champêtre et animé!
Moi qui né suis pas très salé le matin, j’ai littéralement dévoré mon assiette (petit bonus pour le pain tout chaud et le beurre pour accompagner). Composée de bacon irlandais, d’un œuf au plat, d’une saucisse, d’une galette de pomme de terre et de tomates cerise, avec une petite sauce pour tremper la viande, je crois bien que c’était pour le coup le meilleur petit déjeuner du monde!!! Et vu l’heure, c’était aussi le meilleur repas de midi ^^
Et parce que je n’étais pas entièrement rassasiée, une part d’un délicieux Old fashionnned Victoria sponge cake est venu parfaire ce repas…
La vitrine de gâteaux laissait rêveur les plus gourmands et le choix du dessert fut peut-​être l’une des plus difficiles de mon existence…
Bref, visitez Dublin, visitez Queen of Tarts, afin de profiter entièrement de l’expérience irlandaise!

Decent place for a quick bite. I wouldn’t linger longer than necessary as this location is pretty small and gets cramped when full.
Otherwise, food, coffee and desserts were satisfactory. Nothing mind-​blowing, but decent and filling. Ambiance is cute and they take card.

A very cozy place to have tea, complete with a bevy of desserts to choose from. I enjoyed that the counter showcases the various sweets you can try.
The chocolate pecan tart was very rich, the filling almost like a brownie. The Queen Victoria sponge was light with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The sponge is definitely a solid accompaniment choice for tea.
This place is small, so it can fill up quickly. A good place to relax, unwind, with a cup of tea.

I have been at the Queen of Tarts three times, and all my experiences there were great. The café inside is very cool. It has definitively is own style confirmed by particular display of their amazing cakes, pastries, warm sandwiches etc. There are two store, I have been in both. The one in Dame Street has two floors. From upstairs you can see the counter with all his delicateness, really a beautiful view.
I remember that the food is good and the service is fast enough, considering that they are really busy over there. The café is small, it might be difficult to get a spot if you are in a group, although they do their best to accommodate people. As I remember they have the best baileys cheese cake in Dublin. The coffee is good too. You pay but you get a very good quality. I have to come back there soon, to have another slide of that cheese cake ;-)

I really loved Queen of tarts. You have to take the time to find and try it when you are in Dublin.
We had some hot tea and two pieces of cake (or should I say tart) at the end of a long day of visiting Dublin. It was quite cold outside, so we appreciated being inside, even though each time somebody opened the door, we got temporarily cold again.
The place is really lovely and service is fine. You really feel like you just arrived in a typical house in the countryside for tea.
I remember Queen of tarts not being really overpriced but being so full when we got out. And it was really good and tasty. Forget your diet!
I really loved the cups they used. And even though we were the last customers as they were closing, and very worried that we were overstaying, the ladies were really nice with us. Really recommend!

Un point de passage incontournable de la ville ! Vous né pouvez pas partir de Dublin sans avoir fait un tour dans ce sublime salon de thé dont les pâtisseries sont littéralement à tomber par terre.
Ayant trouvé l’adresse sur Unilocal,on décide de s’y rendre le dimanche après-​midi aux alentours de 16h pour y déjeuner (oui, oui). La boutique est minuscule, mais par chance, une table pour deux est libre.
L’endroit est très cosy, très chaleureux et on y est très bien accueilli par de très souriantes serveuses.
J’opte pour un sandwich au jambon et chou rouge à la béchamel comme plat, une part de carrot cake et un chocolat chaud.
Le pain du sandwich est super bon, croustillant à l’extérieur et bien moelleux à l’intérieur, béchamel n’est pas trop présente ce qui permet de sentir correctement le goût du chou, j’adhère totalement.
Vient le tour du carrot cake, une première pour moi. La part est énorme, elle est accompagnée de chantilly faite maison divinement bonne et légère. Dès la première bouchée, c’est le coup de foudre entre cette part de gâteau et moi. C’est gourmand, on sent bien le goût des épices, c’est bien sucré mais pas non plus écoeurant, le glaçage vient relever délicatement le tout… J’en suis encore sous le charme.
Le chocolat chaud est quant à lui servi avec des minis marshmallow, attention à né pas remuer le fond, sinon cela devient vite très fort en chocolat. Pour les gourmands, vous pouvez rajouter du sucre blanc ou roux se trouvant sur votre table, ou rajouter comme moi une cuillère de la chantilly dans votre tasse.
Ma gourmandise en redemandait encore mais mon estomac disait «Non merci», j’avais beau né pas avoir manger à midi, je n’en pouvais plus. J’ai été calé jusqu’à la fin de la soirée.
Les prix sont à la hauteur de la qualité proposée, le choix des pâtisseries est si grand que vous aurez du mal à choisir, en bref, même pas sortit qu’on voudra déjà y retourner pour goûter autre chose. Queen of Tarts est gravé à jamais dans mon coeur (et dans mon gras).

I’ve had lunch here a couple of times. The Pastrami sandwich is awesome.
The soup of the day can be quite nice, depending on the day and how your tastebuds are doing that day but overall, very good quality food and very friendly staff.

Was für ein Glück und eine Freude, dass wir bei Queen of Tarts noch einen freien Tisch für unsere ‘tea break’ fanden.
Queen of Tarts ist wirklich ein Paradies für Kuchenliebhaber: bei dem großen Angebot an selbstgemachten Kuchen und Torte fällt die Auswahl schwer (Der Bailey’s Cheesecake mit Chocolate Chips ist empfehlenswert)! Aber auch für die, die gerade keinen Appetit auf etwas Süßes habe oder etwas mehr Appetit haben, kommen hier mit herzhaften Snacks und Mahlzeiten (frittatas, sandwiches, Suppe) auf ihre Kosten.
Insgesamt lässt es sich als ein Café mit Charakter bezeichen: So wird beispielsweise das Geschirr (teils wohl vintage) wild zusammen gemixt, die Möbel sind ebenfalls verschieden und so entsteht ein gemütliches (aber auch etwas kitschiges) Wohnzimmergefühl. Und auch der Service ist ‘very lovely’!
Beim nächsten Besuch in Dublin, komme ich wieder: für die Atmosphäre, aber vor allem für die Kuchen!

The cutest little café to grab a quick bite while sightseeing near Dublin Castle/​Trinity College area. I came here for breakfast during my first day in Dublin and wasn’t disappointed.
Given all of the sweets, I went in with one thing in mind and that of course, is ordering a tart. As it was still before 11am, I figured I might as well order a real breakfast item and then have the tart for dessert. I decided on the Winter Warmer which is oatmeal with syrup and came with seasonal berry compote– it was yummy and left me satisfied. My hubby ordered the Hearty Breakfast which includes bacon, pork, sausage, egg and a potato chive cake and coffee– all only costing 9.95 makes it a deal and it was good.
The best part: Apple tart served warm with butter: OMG soooo delicious!
Overall, breakfast food was fine, but the tarts are where it’s at!

Plusieurs amies m’avaient conseillé ce salon de thé, et je n’ai pas été déçue ! Une déco 100% irlandaise, de la vaisselle fleurie, et des pâtisseries à tomber :-)
Nous avons opté pour une tarte chocolat noix de pécan tiède et un mud cake dégoulinant de chocolat … un régal ! Les capuccinos et chocolat chaud sont très bons aussi.
Queen of tarts c’est l’endroit parfait pour une pause goûter à Dublin.
Astuce: le salon est tout petit mais deux rues plus loin il y a une annexe beaucoup plus grande avec une terrasse.

This place is going to be a problem for me… It’s too good!
There’s nothing I love more than sweets, and as a die-​hard baker myself, I’ll admit, I’m a bit of snob when it comes to baked goods. This place is worth every. single. calorie.
It was almost impossible to pick one thing, but I knew I had to start with the scone so that was the only way I didn’t spend the entire afternoon trying to decide. It was everything a scone should be, crispy but soft, crumbly but moist. The chocolate chips were dark, so it wasn’t overly sweet. Make sure to have it with the cream… perfection. I came back and tried the Victorian sponge and apple crumble and both were perfect, again not too sweet, nice and fresh, tart and delicious.
It’s no secret this place is good, so it’s always busy. Because they also serve food, I thought 3pm would be a safe time to go, but it was packed (there are only maybe 10 tables) so they were referring to their second location two blocks down, but a table cleared just as I got there. The atmosphere is cozy and the décor is adorable, the staff is very friendly, definitely a place I will bring everyone to any chance I get.
My only saving grace is that this place is across town from home, if it were close by I’d really be in trouble. At least I get to burn off the calories on the long walk to get there (that’s how I’ll justify trying every pastry they make)

I came here right before a walking tour in Dublin that I did. It was kind of on the way to our meeting spot but we were running late so it was a very quick in and out that I couldn’t pass up.
It has a really cute red exterior that reminds me of a London bus which makes a lot of sense for the name too.
Upon walking in my eyes grew wide to see the plethora of cakes, cookies, tarts, and other goodies spread out everywhere. I really couldn’t decide but I remember going with a strawberry cupcake that was delicious.
They serve solid meals too that look pretty good. If I come back to Dublin I will definitely here again to sample more goods.

Parmi les lieux que nous avons pu fréquenter au cours de notre week-​end à Dublin, celui-​ci né restera pas mon préféré.
Le sandwich est cher pour ce que c’est, même si la présentation est plutôt sympa, en revanche les tartes né sont vraiment pas extraordinaires. Nous avons testé le cheese cake qui est arrivé sous forme de tarte (on aurait pu s’en douter vous me direz) mais au final ça n’avait plus rien à voir et c’était un peu banal.
Idem pour la tarte poire chocolat. Certes le goûts des tartes n’avaient rien de mauvais, mais ça n’avait vraiment rien de transcendant.
Bref né vous forcez pas à vous y arrêter, même si beaucoup de guides vous le recommanderont.

Pequeña tetería a mitad de camino entre Dublin Castle y Temple Bar. Te imaginas que en un local tan pequeño buscarán mucho aumentar la rotación de la clientela pero te pides un té y te traen una tetera tan grande que necesitas media tarde para bebertela. Y luego las tartas: del mismo tamaño XXL que las teteras y realmente ricas, sobre todo las de chocolate y zanahoria. Además las camareras muy atentas y pacientes con los «guiris».
Muy recomendable, en definitiva.

Portions généreuses. Délicieuse soupe consistante et servie avec un succulent pain brun (buttermilk brown bread). Le carrot cake né déméritait pas non plus. ;) Parfait endroit pour une pause méritée après la visite du Château de Dublin!

Avec un nom comme celui ci comment né pas se sentir fraichement arrivé dans l’aristocracie :), je serais donc le marquis de Sade et ma compagne sera Madame de Pompadour le temp d’un gâteau ;)
Un ciel bleu, beau soleil en ce dimanche après midi à Dublin, quoi de mieux pour aller profiter d’un bon gâteau au Queen of Tarts (Bön ok, vu le nom j’ai au début cru que l’on serait servis par des hommes transformistes, mais non c’étais des serveuses tout à fait normales :()
Donc on s’assoit, on nous apporte la carte, et deux verres d’eau pour attendre, très gentilles attention, sauf peut être le goût de savon dans le mien, mais c’est pas grave, le lieu est sympathique, et les serveuses aussi (c’est marrant cette manie en Irlande de demander comment ça va en disant bonjour, pas habitué a ça en France).
Pour ma part c’est donc un crumble au pomme à l’ancienne avec un cappuccino, et pour mademoiselle un «Queen of Chocolate Fudge Cake» avec un chocolat chaud.
Et c’est parti pour la dégustation, le crumble était fondant et croquant, légèrement tiède, avec un petit gout de cannelle en fond, un vrai délice. Le cappuccino était aussi très bon, moins exceptionnelle cependant.
Pour Madame de Pompadour à mes côté, le gâteau était tout aussi délicieux et fondant, et le chocolat chaud était vraiment bon accompagné de ses chamalow.
Voila je vous recommande vivement d’y passer, ils ont deux adresses, nous avons été au plus petit magasin.

Queen of Tarts doit définitivement se trouver sur votre TO DO lors de votre séjour à Dublin ! Né serait-​ce que pour le lieu, complètement typique et l’ambiance, so British !
Je conseille ce lieu et pas la plus grande boutique qui se trouve à moins de 200m parce que ce petit café, minuscule, est bien plus charmant que le grand café à 2 min à pied. Il faudra bien sûre peut-​être un peu de patience pour s’y asseoir et il est compliqué de s’asseoir à plus de trois personnes mais ça vaut le coup !
Pour ce qui est des pâtisseries, je conseille l’indétrônable Cheesecake (Bailey, au chocolat !) ainsi que le si parfait Carrot Cake… Des classiques parfaitement maitrisé qui valent leur prix !
C’est l’une de mes meilleurs surprises de Dublin que je conseille sans moderation !

Es un sitio pequeño pero precioso para tomarse un café justo después de ver el castillo de Dublín! Puedes comer salado, pero sin duda alguna es perfecto para meterte un dulce entre pecho y espalda.
No sabía por cual decantarme, si lo admito, tomé leche, pero es que cómo podía resistirme?¿?¿ Ufffff, al final me decanté por una tarta de chocolate que estaba increíble! La verdad que todas eran maravillosas, perfectas y daban ganas de comérselas todas. También tienen galletas, tartaletas y merengues… vamos que hay para todos los gustos.
Sin duda alguna una parada obligatoria. Yo no paré hasta encontrarlo tras una recomendación ;)

«Mooooh comme c’est mignon ici !», ça c’était ma première impression !
J’y ai été à l’heure du petit déjeuner pour y commander une formule à 5,95 € qui comprend un scone, un thé/​café et un jus d’orange frais, c’était parfait. Le service était agréable (malgré que le plat de mon copain ait pris un peu de temps à arriver mais bon. Ça arrive !)
Vous pouvez vous arrêter ici pour le breakfast, le lunch ou pour un casse-​croûte, tout au menu à l’air appétissant et les pâtisseries qui trônent sur le comptoir donnent l’eau à la bouche! Le take away est aussi une bonne option.
Une chouette chaîné de restauration ;)!

Envie de faire une pause entre deux visites à Dublin? Queen of Tarts est l’endroit parfait pour un goûter 100% British !
L’endroit n’est pas bien grand, il va vous falloir une bonne dose de chance pour y trouver une table, mais gardez espoir, les gens vont et viennent, il y aura peut être une petite place pour vous 10 minutes plus tard. Sinon, si le soleil est au rendez vous, emportez votre goûter dehors !
Au menu: muffins en tout genre, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecake, tartes, etc, mais surtout le CARROT CAKE !
Je suis tombée amoureuse de ces gateaux à la carotte il n’y a pas longtemps, et depuis, j’en raffole complètement. Mais ce n’était rien comparé à celui que j’ai mangé chez Queen of Tarts, une vraie tuerie !
Je vous ai dit qu’il était accompagné de clotted cream? Encore mieux ! Et le tout n’était pas trop lourd, idéal pour continuer la promenade dans Dublin après le goûter :)

Sitio genial para tomar un café, sobre todo ahora que han abierto otro local más amplio justo al lado en Cow Lane. La nata casera es espectacular.

Un endroit vraiment convivial et agréable pour venir y prendre le thé ou y déguster leur pâtisseries hors du commun ! A recommander: D

Le salon de thé couru de Dublin mais il vaut largement le détour !
Les pâtisseries sont fabuleuses: Carrot Cake, gâteaux aux chocolat, tartes sont toujours servies avec un peu de crème fouettée, dans de la porcelaine à l’ancienne ! C’est parfait, bon et ça va très bien dans le décor ! Le decorum, parlons-​en justement, l’atmosphère girly peut rebuter, mais il serait dommage de s’arrêter à cette impression !
Une pause douceur et gourmande dans le froid dublinois ! Queen of Tarts est à visiter au même titre que d’autres institutions !
Attendez-​vous par contre à faire la queue, le lieu (ou son voisin) est vraiment tout petit.

Mhhh, Queen of Tarte ist wirklich ein kleines hübsches Kuchenparadies: o)
Oh man, so einen leckeren Kuchen habe ich schon laaaaaange nicht mehr gegessen.
Wunderschöné (kitschige) Einrichtung, super Kaffee und heiße Schokolade (mit Marshmallows), tolle Kuchen und Quiches zu essen.
Es ist verhältnismäßig teuer, aber es LOHNT SICH!
Es gibt insgesamt 2 Cafes, das original ist sehr klein (ich glaube es gibt 5 oder 6 Tische), das andere soll größer sein.

So habe ich mir eine britische Bäckerei vorgestellt. Es gibt eine umfangreiche Frühstückskarte auf der jeder etwas findet. Und wenn man in dem kleinen Café keinen Platz mehr findet kann man einfach zwei Straßen weiter gehen wo es eine weitere Filiale gibt bei der es auch Aussenplätze gibt! Allerdings ist das Ambiente in dem kleinen Café schöner.

We read about this café in our guide and we definitely needed to go there, a good decision. There was a range of good looking little tarts and the waitresses were very helpful and nice.
It’s really worth visiting and having a little break.

Queen of Tarts ist ein echt gemütliches kleines Café, ich war aber nicht in dem gedrängten sehr kleinen Café in der Dame Street, sondern zwei Straßen weiter (bergauf) rechts in der Cows Lane. Dort fühlt man sich wie bei Oma Zuhause, das Porzellan, die Möbel und nicht zuletzt die frisch gebackenen Leckereien laden zum Verweilen ein.
Zuerst hatte ich ein Frühstück mit frischem Brot, irischem Lachs, frischem O-​Saft und Rührei von glücklichen Hühnern. Und dann noch frische Scones, einen mit Heidelbeeren und einen mit Rosinen, mit selbstgemachter Marmelade — schade, dass ich danach keinen Hunger mehr hatte, aber es war alles so lecker, dass ich gerne noch viel mehr probiert hätte.
Bei meinem nächsten Dublin-​Besuch werde ich mich dort ganz sicher wieder mit Leckereien verwöhnen.

Un choix de ouf, des gâteaux tous meilleurs les uns que les autres, un service super gentil… Il né manqué que la place et c’est pour ça quun deuxième Queen Of Tarts s’est ouvert, plus récent, dans une ruelle adjacente à la grande avenue du premier.
Les crumble sont à pleurer, le fondant au chocolat magnifique, et même le chocolat du Marquis vaut le voyage !

Ah j’oubliais: là aussi on est allés deux fois.

Un sitio imprescindible para tomar un buen café al estilo europeo y comer las mejores tartas caseras. La selección de tés también es excelente

Wer Kuchen und Tarts liebt, ist hier im Paradies. Von süß bis herzhaft gibt es hier alles. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist der Carrot Cake! Unbedingt mal probieren, wenn ihr dort vorbeikommen solltet. Und falls ihr in dem Café auf der Dame Street keinen Platz mehr bekommen solltet (was relativ wahrscheinlich ist, da das Café wirklich winzig, aber urgemütlich ist) könnt ihr grade um die Ecke in die Cows Lane gehen. Da bekommt ihr auf jeden Fall einen Platz.
