Extremely underrated space. I prefer coming here on weekends because Stephen’s Green is very crowded and all I’m looking for is some peace and quiet. They have a sufficiently large playing area if you enjoy game of tennis or baseball but what I really love about this park are trees. Sitting under one of them on a sunny day curled up with a nice book watching dogs and people play is very entertaining.

Firstly, this is a beautiful park, it has mostly everything you’d hope for. Even a small baseball pitch(can see traces on the grass). Secondly it’s build more for games than for picnics. There’s a playground for kids. Huge point for this park is that it has high quality tennis courts. Four of them! Only one minor inconvenience is that those courts are 1 on 1 player based. It’s out of city centre, so parking is never an issue. The place is pretty well looked after. Garda patrols a quite regular over there. Best place for 1 on 1 tennis! And it’s FREE!

I never heard of this park before I decided to take my hand to softball. It’s a really lovely park, always lots of activity going on. I parked in the residential area. There is plenty of space to walk etc as Quentin said. Always plenty of comical men with very white hairy legs lapping prior to their soccer and at the ready with their witty banter which I live for. ‘Oi love is there a hole in that stick? Ha ha ha, nice one mate. Cheers I practiced it all week.‘ That comment about the hole in the bat was not targeted at me because apparently I am a bit of a natural. It’s all about visualising who’s bits you would like the ball to represent and then viola you make a connection.

The Park in Ringsend is a nice wee spot to go for a run, walk the dog or child or for the various sporting endeavours they cater for — there are a variety of pitches and courts open to the public but lord alone knows how you book them, I’m sure its not rocket science but on a quick inspection I couldn’t see any way of doing so! The park is really nicely maintained, the flower beds neatly tended the gardens/greens cut and trimmed. I guess my big mistake was taking my son with me when my sole purpose was to have a look around and write a review, we passed the playground with its myriad of swings, slides, monkey bars, spinning discs and stuff I never thought I see outside a torture dungeon, it looked truly terrifying. Gilles(oh he in the push chair) had an entirely different view of how the evening was about to proceed. an awesome battle of wills ensued… …later, after we had finished on the swings I took pics of the park, the opening times and the flower beds, all jolly nice. If I was to crib and you know I’m going to, I’d say the play area was not as clean as I’d like, a lot of chewing gum everywhere, but I guess its hard to keep these places as spick and span as picky fathers would like!
