This must be Ireland’s only Korean pub! A great spot for a couple of pints. It’s a bit rough around the edges but it only adds to its character! The pints are good value, from 3.70 for a pint of Bavaria to 4.50 for a classy Leffe(‘lef’ /‘leffeee’ — ?!) — how can you go wrong? If you’re a Guinness drinker they also have a loyalty card, buy 6 pints get the 7th free — happy days! It’s part of the restaurant next door, Kimchi, so you can pop in after you’ve been fed next door. They also do some food in the bar — spring rolls, chicken wings.

If you are looking for a very relaxed place to have a pint after a long day I would recommend this. Everyone here knows each other and it’s kind of great! The service was good although the bartender barely spoke English and had no idea what gluten free was. I was in the beer garden and the sun was shining it was lovely. I am coming back here for sure.

This pub is now part of the Kimchi/Hop House restaurant/pub. Once a traditional Irish pub, part of the building has been turned into a nice Korean restaurant called Kimchi(although confusingly also known as Hop House). The pub — Hop House — is delightfully run down. Dirty frayed carpet, toilets that smell overwhelmingly of cleaning fluid… if you’re dying for a pint after your meal, then why not — otherwise go elsewhere!
